Author: Some in Congress calling for war crimes trials

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer talked with Jane Mayer who is author of a new book, “The Dark Side.” Mayer’s book looks at the treatment of prisoners captured by the U.S. during the pursuit of Al Qaeda.

Mayer believe that the decision to torture prisoners could expose President Bush to war crimes charges. “I think it’s more a political question than a legal question, really. There’s a question whether there’s a political appetite for this. There are Democrats on the Hill that are calling for these kind of hearings and trials.”
