Gay marriage opponents want ‘scare tactic’ on ballot

A Sacramento judge is considering whether to order state officials to rewrite the ballot summary describing Proposition 8, the gay marriage ban on the November ballot. Opponents of want the proposition to include a requirement that schools teach aboug gay marriage. Some call the proposition wording a “scare tactic” to help defeat the measure.
