NBC-affiliate KYTV asked Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour about Sarah Palin. Barbour said that Palin was a “bona fide” energy expert but that “obviously in a McCain administration she will not have much of a role in foreign policy.”

Barbour said that he liked Palin because “she doesn’t have a chip on her shoulder like some women politicians.”

Haley Barbour is known to be a long time friend of John McCain.
