John McCain and Sarah Palin spoke at a campaign rally in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Palin acknowledged that many are upset about current political conditions. Palin said, “We know all across America right now there’s a lot of anger. There’s anger about the insider dealing of lobbyists and anger about the greed on Wall Street, and anger about the arrogance of the Washington elite, and anger about voter fraud. America, America, let John McCain turn that anger into action.”

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll found that satisfaction with the county’s direction is at a 35-year low.

In what Politico called a “comeback speech,” McCain recognized he is trailing in the polls. McCain said, “My friends, we’ve got them just where we want them.”
