The Supreme Court has sided with Ohio officials in a dispute with the Republican Party over new voter registrations. The Supreme Court overruled a federal appeals court that said the Ohio Secretary of State was required to match new voter registration data with other government databases.

The Ohio Secretary of State has said that the suit brought by Republicans was an attempt to disenfranchise new voters.

Fox’s Megyn Kelly said she was “surprised” that the Supreme Court would side with Ohio Democrats.
