Kiran Chetry asked Ed Rollins about John McCain’s call for the L.A. Times to release a video tape of Barack Obama attending a party with a leading Palestinian scholar and activist. The L.A. Times will not release the tape because of a confidentiality agreement with its source.

Rollins said, “Even if they had it today and put an ad up for the next four days, no one is going care. The reality is people care about the economy. The first time this campaign has been on a message about taxes, taxes, taxes, and they’re doing much better. So, to basically go back and try to Obama of some idiotic thing is just not going to work.”

This video is from CNN’s American Morning, broadcast October 29, 2008.
