
Granted, today will be nerve-racking for everyone, but today’s still my favorite day of the year. There’s something uniquely wholesome about the practice of Election Day, over a hundred million people headed to similar places to do a similar – and meaningful – thing. It doesn’t involve the consumerism of our other national holidays and hallmarks. It’s a day of reward for true believers, the ones who’ve spent all their spare hours folding mail or knocking on doors for their chosen candidate.
