Fox News’ Chris Wallace talked with John Podesta who is co-chairman of Barack Obama’s transition team. Podesta told Wallace they are “moving aggressively to try to build out that core economic team, the national security team.” Podesta didn’t provide a precise date for the selection of key cabinet members.

“He brought millions of people in. They weren’t all democrats. He reached out to independents and Republicans. And I think we want to see that reflected at every level of government. Sometimes there’s a token Republican in the cabinet or token Democrat in a Republican administration. I think his charge to us is that he wants a broad diverse cabinet, one that’s built on first criteria excellence,” said Podesta

Wallace asked if Obama had won a mandate in the election. Podesta replied, “I think he feels there was a strong vote for change … so I think he feels like he has a real mandate for change.”
