Blackwater guards charged with 14 counts of manslaughter

Assistant Attorney General Pat Rowan announced charges for five Blackwater security guards for the killing of 14 Iraq civilians. Each of the five guards were charged with 14 counts of manslaughter, 20 counts of attempted manslaughter and one count of using a machine gun.

Each manslaughter charge carries a sentence of 10 years. Each attempted manslaughter charge carries 7 years. The charge for using a machine gun carries a minimum of 30 years.
