Madeline Albright is part of a genocide prevention task force which is urging Barack Obama to create an interagency group to prevent genocide before it starts. The new group would meet on a regular basis to analyze threats and then take action.

“A lot of it has to do with knowing what the patterns are and trying to prevent genocide because once it starts it’s very hard to stop,” Albright told CNN’s Kiran Chetry.

Albright is looking to Obama’s administration for action. “The bottom line that we call on is leadership and presidential leadership is important.”
