Obama ‘saddened’ and ‘sobered’ by Blagojevich

During a meeting with former Vice President Al Gore, Barack Obama told reporters that he was not aware of the corruption surrounding Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.

Obama said he was “saddened and sobered by the news that came out of the U.S. Attorney’s office today, but as this is an ongoing investigation involving the governor, I don’t it will be appropriate for me to comment on the issue at this time.”
