Saturday Night Live’s spoof of New York Governor David Patterson got poor reviews from the Governor’s office. Patterson’s communication director released a statement saying “this particular ‘Saturday Night Live’ skit unfortunately chose to ridicule people with physical disabilities and imply that disabled people are incapable of having jobs with serious responsibilities.”

The New York Times has more details here.

This video is from CNN’s American Morning, broadcast Dec. 15, 2008.
