Obama on stimulus: ‘The time for talk is over’

Speaking at the Department of Energy today, President Barack Obama made his most forceful case yet for the stimulus bill.

“The time for talk is over, the time for action is now,” he said.

Obama posited that a green energy policy was an important component of the stimulus package. “When you hear these attacks deriding something of such obvious importance as this, you have to ask yourself, are these folks serious? Is it any wonder that we haven’t had a real energy policy in this country?” Obama asked.
