Activists dressed in white sheets and pointy hoods stood outside of Madison Square Gardens to protest the start of the Westminster Kennel Club. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) staged the protest to coincide with advertisements promoting their Animal Birth Control Campaign.

On Friday, PETA announced their latest advertisement which also used KKK imagery.

This video is from PETA, broadcast Feb 7, 2009.
