CNN’s Debra Feyerick reported that the relatives of the late Apache warrior Geronimo are suing Yale and the secret Skull and Bones society for the return of Geronimo’s remains. An 1818 letter from a bonesman, discovered two years ago, seems to indicate that Geronimo’s skull is stored within “the tomb” where members hold meetings on Yale’s campus.

Prescott Bush, father of George H.W. Bush and grandfather of George W. Bush, is thought to have participated in robbing the grave of Geronimo. All three men are thought to have been members of the secret society. “When you desecrated a grave of this nature, you upset the spirits and sooner or later, the spirit also come after you,” said Harlan Geronimo who great grandson to the Apache warrior. Harlan Geronimo has offered to take a DNA test to prove the remains belong to his grandfather.

Geronimo’s descendents are also suing President Obama and Secretary Gates for the return of Geronimo’s remains buried at Ft. Sill.
