Rep. Ron Paul told CNN’s John Roberts that Democrats would like to frame Rush Limbaugh as the leader of the Republican Party. “He is a leader,” said Paul. “But I think it’s also a little bit polarizing and confrontational and I think that’s why the Democrats are bragging that Limbaugh now speaks for the Republicans.”

“What does it say that almost like the spokesperson for a political party is a radio talk show host as opposed to it being one of the political leadership,” Roberts asked Paul.

“I think it’s pretty sad. It’s a good point to make. It means that the Republicans are really starving for some type of leadership,” admitted Paul.
