In an interview with 365gay.com, Barney Franks called Justice Antonin Scalia a “homophobe.” Frank was asked about whether or not the Supreme Court would be asked to some day decide on the legality of same-sex marriage.

“I wouldn’t want it to go to the United States Supreme Court now because that homophobe Antonin Scalia has too many votes on this current court,” said Frank.

The Associate Press was note able to obtain comments from Frank or Scalia.
