Obama: ‘I believe that waterboarding was torture’

President Obama indicated that he thinks the Bush administration may have sanction torture by allowing waterboarding of detainees. “What I’ve said and I will repeat is that waterboarding violates our ideals and our values. I do believe that it is torture,” he said during a press conference Wednesday night.
