Countdown shows tape of former President George W. Bush calling for full, open investigations of U.S. torture and calling for prosecutions of the guilty. The tough words were actually recorded by al-Arabiya in 2003 in an interview meant to appease Iraqi anger over Abu Ghraib. MSNBC political analyst Eugene Robinson talks about what this means in light of the current torture debate.

This video is from MSNBC’s Countdown, broadcast Apr. 28, 2009.
