MyFoxAl.com reported:

Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper and Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford tell FOX6 News that five officers who participated in an alleged beating in January 2008 have been fired from the Birmingham Police Department.

The incident in question comes from the alleged beating of 38-year-old Anthony Shannon Warren.

At the end of the chase, Warren was knocked unconscious after a police cruiser nudges his van into a wreck on the Highway 31 ramp leading to I-459.

The dashcam of a nearby police cruiser catches police officers beating Warren while he was still unconscious.
