Former US President Bill Clinton and US journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling returned Wednesday from North Korea, one day after North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-Il pardoned the two women.

Their chartered aircraft landed at 1250 GMT, and was taxiing into a hangar where the party was to address the media.

Family members including US TV journalist Lisa Ling were here to greet the women including her sister Laura, whom Ling calls her best friend.

Both women, who work for Current TV, are married and Lee has a young daughter she has not seen since leaving on assignment in March.

Lee wept as she was reunited with her daughter and husband, and Ling raised her arms in a victorious gesture as she descended the stairs from the plane.
