Diplomat: US participating in ‘civil war’ in Afghanistan

Matthew Hoh is a former Foreign Service officer that resigned in protest of the war in Afghanistan. Hoh told NBC’s Mat Lauer that he is disappointed that the runoff election if Afghanistan was cancelled but it doesn’t give the US a strategic advantage. Hoh believes the US is participating in a civil war in Afghanistan that has nothing to do with 9/11 or preventing future terrorist attacks.
