From going bust by resigning as governor of Alaska to going rogue, MSNBC’s Countdown pays tribute to Sarah Palin’s turbulent year.

“Never mind that her guy wiped the floor with you and your guy in the election last year,” MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell declares, standing in for host Keith Olbermann. “If you want to move product you go on ‘Oprah.’”

Which, of course, Palin recently did to promote her new book, Going Rogue.

“She was at Barnes & Noble today and actually had to take a break because she got a cramp in her wink,” O’Donnell later mocks.

“Will Sarah Palin be named the wackiest whack job of the year?” he intones. “Countdown‘s” 2009 whack job jamboree debuts next Tuesday, December 29th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.”

“You went rogue on us, Sarah.”
