Maher credits ‘teabaggers’ for passage of health care reform

Opponents of health care reform may have actually helped get the new law passed, according to one liberal comedian. Bill Maher told Jay Leno Thursday that Tea Party activists were so outlandish that they repelled most most Americans.

“I have to say, I thank the teabaggers,” said Maher. “They’re the ones who got it passed.”
