The story says the Pentagon has concluded no crime was committed and no investigation will be carried out. Truly sad, and truly atrocious. Unfortunately, this is what happens when you arm anyone. Atrocities happen in war, even in World War II, when the enemy wore easily identified uniforms and civilians were still killed. It happened in Vietnam, when 26 soldiers were charged in the My Lai massacre of hundreds of civilians; only one soldier, William Calley, was convicted. And atrocities happen in civilian life. Just ask the families of Abner Louimas or Amadou Diallos, who died in police custody in New York City. How can these atrocities be prevented? At least getting our troops out of the Middle East would be a first step.

Okay, so we got the troops.

Now lets move on to the people who have been covering this up for so long. They too are bloodthirsty murderers. Every single one of them.

You're watching a video on your computer in full screen. They're watching a video from a helicopter in a war zone on a 6 inch screen (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Aside from the camera mess up there were clearly dudes with AK47s there and a US patrol less than a mile away and dialogue from the video implies they did just come out of a firefight.

Abner Louima wasn't killed, he was raped with a broom handle by NYPD officers. Amadou Diallo wasn't in custody when he was shot to death by the NYPD; he was standing in a doorway, reaching for his wallet.
Make no mistake, the US's strategy in Iraq has been to target civilians. Since it often can't target the insurgents, it targets the population around them. Also, mass murder helps break down order, making it easier for the political actions necessary for the US to get Iraq's oil.

The helicopter crew has better visibility than we do on a computer screen. Also, no weapons appear in that video. Not one. You're lying.

Watch the full 17 minute video shown on the main red headline on Raw's front page and then tell me they couldn't tell what those people were carrying if they wanted to.

They were close enough to see the people on the ground “visually” and remarked they had eyeballs on six or seven individuals carrying AK 47's. They are close enough to see AK47's meaning they could easily tell a RPG from a camera. Even without binoculars, let alone if they had used them.

One of the pilots also made a comment about a person crawling around on the ground and they delighted in their kills. Plus, they fired on the totally unarmed people that came to assist at the van.

This was pure, outright, deliberate murder.

Fellows you need to watch the whole video. There were weapons involved, even an RPG. And the crew had already taken small arms fire. Why these journalist were in the middle of a hot zone I have no idea.

MSNBC covered the story however there was clearly a shift in the facts that are being conveyed. The commentators are claiming that RPG's were the provocation but in the audio component you can clearly hear the solders say that AK47's are the element that permits engagement.
The MSNBC clip is to me an exercise in how the MSM creates a hyper-reality in an effort to dampen the effect of how our taxpayer dollars are being spent.

I notice youtube has pulled this video. The tape shown here is edited, and the original youtube video was also heavily edited, with comments inserted which interrupted the continuity of the video.

In the original, earlier in the video, I saw some of the men carrying what appeared to be AK's…not the guys carrying the camera bags, others.

Cut out of the above video is a scene where someone leans around the corner with what appears to be a weapon, and takes aim at the chopper…the pilots see this as an RPG, and it looked plausible to me…my understanding of the situation from the radio transmissions is that ground troops are being guided through the city, probably to occupy key points, by the chopper pilots…clearing hostiles as much as possible is part of the Apache crew's mission.

I have no idea what had gone down during the entire operation…it is possible that the ground troops & Apaches had taken heavy fire earlier, and in that case the coarse attitudes of the soldiers involved is understandable…it is not professional, but it is an emotional reality.

The children involved were not visible. It is doubtful they would have fired had they known the kids were in the van…I have no possible explanation for why they attacked the van…someone's head is gong to roll for that one.

Tank running over a body…not a problem for me. One, he's dead…I doubt he felt a thing. Two, you can barely see driving a Bradley, and you can't see below the chassis at all, it's not like driving a car…I doubt it was done on purpose.

War is worse than Hell…in Hell there are no innocent victims…this is the reason that war should be a last resort, it should be quick and decisive, and then end. Bush failed at all this, he went to war in Iraq for false reasons, he did not insure that proper training was immediately instituted for the government that took Saddam's place, but mostly…

That chopper was at least a couple of klicks away from the targetted area. Those cannon rounds had quite a bit of travel time from discharge to impact. Good luck hitting an Apache at that distance with an RPG or AK – even if you had a clear LOS; which the people in the video may or may not have had. The rules of engagement were clearly disregarded, what transpired is a war crime. The individuals who perpetrated this act and those who gave thier permission for it to occur should be indicted and made to face justice.

Even I could tell there were no RPG’s. That was obvious even with crap video regardless of better quality video gunner had.
That being said, I saw what a long rifle. It might have been an AK-47, but looked a little longer.

There is no way a helicopter was fired upon, the video is its own evidence. The gunner’s were itching to kill and made up an excuse. Moreover, the helicopters were well out of AK47 range.

The murders were sad, not surprising. The only thing surprising was how far away each Apache was to the victims. They didn’t know what hit them.

There are countless videos like this on the internet. Many of them even more savage than this. US troops firing on civilian cars and laughing and high-fiving each other when the cars burst into flames and roll into market stands, the occupants all dead. This sickening carnage goes on everyday with civilian men, women and babies being butchered. Not long ago 80 kids were blown limb from limb in Afghanistan when a drone targeted their school. Their mothers had to wade ankle-deep in blood and rubble trying to identify and piece together the body parts of their children.
The civilians are being targeted on purpose. It's the only way to generate a terrorized, traumatised populace that are too frightened to resist.

I did view the whole video. I didn't see any AK-47s. But just for a minute lets say that some of them were carrying guns. Like the lieutenant said you don't just fire on them and then fire on civilians coming to help the wounded. That is a war-crime. Blocking assistance to the wounded is a war crime buddy. Incidentally, Iraq is awash with personal guns. Civilians carry guns all the time to protect themselves from kidnapping, robbery, sectarian violence. Farmers and shepherds carry guns to shoot bandits or wild dogs or wolves who might target their animals.
The reality is that the US military is involved in war crimes and atrocities every single day and if you can't bring yourself to that realisation because you are too uncomfortable with the thought of it then I suggest you just keep your naive and cowardly mouth shut.

Here is the clip from NPR (yes I know they are very liberal) but notice how they do say their was an RPG and the clip has been edited so you don't see the RPG or AK-47's. But the truth is that they found the stuff in a Mosque, they were not attacking anyone with it, they were getting it out of a Mosque. Sadly the Apache saw it and took them out.
