We…Are…ANIMAL!
Jessica Valenti’s column on Sarah Palin’s false embrace of feminism is characteristically excellent, but she does mention something that I’ve found weird ever since Palin said it:
Today, however, Palin is happily adopting the feminist label. She’s throwing support behind “mama grizzly” candidates, describing the large number of women in the “tea party” as evidence of a “mom awakening” and preaching girl power on her Facebook page.
Thus far, Palin has been both a pit bull and a mama grizzly, because apparently her take on politics is that everyone must find their spirit animals before they run for office. I really can’t wait until she launches her presidential exploratory committee in 2011, “Centaurs With Shark Heads For Palin 2012″. They will be fearsome, yet unwieldy.
