I got to hear Jeb speak at the ECOT 2010 graduation ceremony at Schottenstein Arena in Columbus where a friend of our daughter graduated. Very, very impressed with his stand on education outside the “norms” of the current status quo. Very, very impressed with the kids who graduated as well. Quite a few of them had already earned their Associate's Degree while working on the ECOT curriculum. Most of them had firm plans for other College and Military pursuits. I have 100,000 reasons to hate the bu$h crime family and all their associates for the damage they've done to my country over the past 70 years. Prescott's helping Hitler, the family's friendship with Saudi Arabia and two wars for oil top the long list. As a life-long Tallahassee resident, I've lived through several republican governors now – and they've all sucked. The last quality governor we had was Chiles, who died shortly before his last term was set to end. His son talked about jumping in the '10 governors race – but decided not to. Crist largely continued the policies of Jeb. Crist's recent swing to the left (vetoing an abortion bill, an education bill, etc.) has actually brought some of the first sane actions seen in this state in a decade.

I love the Republican attack ads on TV right now. None of the candidates run on their records, except Alex Sink actually, because their record is TERRIBLE. Rubio was speaker of the FL state house and was one of the worst state politicians in living memory – the kinds of ideas that flew out of this guy's ass were amazing in their stupidity.

So what do we have in FL right now? Well, after over a decade of republican governance we are broke, get no revenue from any taxes, we have the worst public education in the country (but of course, some of the lowest property taxes!), and this is only the tip of the iceberg. Jeb was a disaster, Crist was a different kind of disaster. Crist is all about what is best for Crist – he once said he was “the people's governor” and that the governor's mansion was “the people's house.” He sure as hell isn't saying that any more.

My larger point is that as bad as Jeb is individually, he's really only a symptom of a larger problem for us in Florida, the dominance of the RPOF for the last twenty years.
