CAIR slams ‘KKK tactics,’ says Tea Party changing focus to ‘promotion of Islamophobia’

‘Islam is not a religion,’ declares anonymous protest organizer

The Council on American-Islamic relations has condemned plans for a Tea Party protest outside a southern California mosque, whose organizers are urging protesters to bring dogs with them because Muslims “hate dogs.”

A recent series of unsigned emails and anonymous Web postings has called for a protest during Friday prayers outside the Islamic Center of Temecula Valley, in Riverside County. Protest organizers are upset at the Islamic group’s plans to build a new mosque to replace its current makeshift mosque.

One of the emails, obtained by CAIR, declared: “Islam is not a religion. It is a worldwide political movement meant [sic] on domination of the world. And it is meant to subjugate all people under Islamic law….”

The email goes on to say that Muslims “hate dogs. … Tennessee was able to stop the Mosque so bring your Bibles, flags, signs, dogs and singing voice on Friday.”

The reference to Tennessee evidently has to do with a controversy over the planned construction of a mosque in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which has drawn opposition from some residents. Contrary to the email, planning for the mosque has not been halted.

The identity of the protest organizers “remains a mystery,” reports the Los Angeles Times, but the organizers “appear to be associated with a southwest Riverside County political group affiliated with the ‘tea party’ movement.”

In a press release, CAIR declared that the protest was being organized by the Southwest Riverside County Tea Party. Protest supporters “are being told to bring dogs to harass Muslim worshipers,” CAIR said.

With the city of Temecula soon to determine whether the proposed mosque can go ahead, opposition to its construction has been growing more vocal. Opponents told the L.A. Times last week they feared the mosque would turn the area into “a haven for Islamic extremists.”

That’s a charge denied by members of the Temecula mosque, who point out their current mosque has been operating in Riverside County for more than a decade.

“Californians of all faiths should repudiate those who would target a house of worship using tactics specifically designed to cause offense,” said Hussam Ayloush, executive director of the Los Angeles branch of CAIR. “National and state Tea Party leaders should explain why their movement has apparently deviated from its agenda on fiscal responsibility and limited government to the promotion of Islamophobia.”

CAIR also notes that the organizers’ assertion that Muslims “hate” dogs is wrong. “Many Muslims believe the saliva of dogs invalidates the ritual ablution performed before prayer. For this reason, it has become a cultural norm for individuals not to have dogs in their houses — not because the dog is ‘hated,’” CAIR stated.

Political opposition to the construction of mosques has grown in recent weeks, primarily on the back of the controversy over the construction of a mosque several blocks away from the Ground Zero site in New York City.

A planning commission hearing to determine whether the city will allow the Temecula mosque to be built was scheduled for August 18, but it has been pushed back to November.

Once again more proof that the rightwing isnt prejudice, bigoted and irrational.
    Oh wait..
It is more proof they are unreasonable and prejudice.

  • liberaldawg

Sounds like the Tea Party to me.

  • PrissyPatriot

So much for 'freedom of religion” …Who is next? Catholics, Amish (they 'dress funny) Mormons (odd underwear) Pentecost (no make up, women must wear dresses and not cut their hair) Insanity.

  • motelcalifornia

I guess the Tea Party has never heard of an Eye for an Eye and a Tooth for a Tooth, have they?

EXODUS 21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. [23] And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, [24] Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, [25] Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

  • motelcalifornia

If you don't have a dog, you can also bring a Tea Party Mamma. Same as a biker mamma. LOL

Conservatives hate books… counter-protestors should bring large books and use big words to frighten away the Tea-partiers.

  • Democratic_Socialist

    Amerika, It seems of late,
    has so little time
    and so much hate.

    So now's the time
    to turn it 'round
and stomp those haters in the ground!

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/UR4DHHC3P6RRXIUP4LWX54YN7I hu

But seriously, Islam is a highly ridiculous religion, but I'll defend to the death the right of anyone to be ridiculous! (Also, Islamic architecture is so exquisite, what would be built there otherwise, a Wal-Mart?)

  • tomhoser

Yeah, but all this yields eventually is a lot of blind and toothless people.

  • MyUsernameWasStolen

And those muslims who attend that mosque regularly should take mace with them, because rabid dogs *hate* mace.

  • pecador

The Tea Party hates Muslims, Democrats, ACLU, unions, gays, womens rights and churches that advocate social justice. It seems to me that these two groups should get along well since they hate many of the same things.

  • Crispus Attucks

Wal-Mart and Islam treat people about the same. Both should die at the hands of people with the guts enough to fight evil. I tell you from experience that if you don't make up your mind to fight them everywhere at all times you might just have to defend their rights to your own death… and that is the ridiculous part.

  • Crispus Attucks

Islam is no religion of peace. It takes the US and THEM principle to the extreme and really does advocate killing. I hate their religion. One cannot have a rational discussion with them. Islam is an infectious disease that blinds them to anything resembling rational thought. Just my opinion. MY opinion, not some Mullahfucker.

  • NotConvinced

Inbred racist, kid diddling, bible thumping, science denying, gun toting, dog sucking, teascrotums don't have the mental capacity to understand other cultures. They don't breed outside of their immediate family. Naturally they are afraid of many things. Just look at the shape of their heads, their crooked teeth, their bad hygiene, their big ears, and stubby limbs. They're a mess.

  • MRAMERICA4U

Just checked it out, protest is at a bank not a mosque but keep spinning.

  • motelcalifornia

I think the Tea Party is fucking with a community that couldn't give ten shits about their ideology. I wouldn't step into their parking lot, yard, or any space belonging to them.

  • starvapor

Another reason humans would be better off without religion.

  • cbgb2112

I can't get pass this post. So eloquent and true. Well said!

  • MRAMERICA4U

    Muslims aren't that bad..

  • wiseturtle

These KKKrackers said the same thing about communism.

  • starvapor

You're bordering on cruel and unusual punishment by using all that book-and-word stuff against the gullible and brain-dead.

  • cbgb2112

I feel that way about all religions. Christians are the most hateful hypocrites I have ever experienced. If one hateful hypocrite can have their 'house of worship', they all should. Let the sheep gather where they wish. Tea Baggers have no authority to choose which cloud being worshipers can play and which can not..

  • starvapor

Freedom from religion would make more sense…

When one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion.

  • glenoglenda

If you had actually READ the article & accompanying links, you would know that the mosque isn't built yet, so it would be impossible to protest at the mosque itself.
The protest is taking place at the site they want to build the mosque.
These racists are trying to stop it from being built.
You can't prevent something from being built AFTER it's already built.
    See how that works?

  • chrislib

With brain dead, lie-believing, hatemongering, christianpatriots like these, who needs domestic terists?

  • chrislib

You're talking about reslugliCONs in general, and theofascist christianpatriot tea gag people in particular, right? That's what I thought.

  • glenoglenda

I think they meant that muslims hate “hot dogs,” cuz of the whole kosher thing.

  • http://voxmagi-necessarywords.blogspot.com/ VoxMagi

Ya know…I'm with the NYC crowd in the sense that, just maybe, given the circumstances, an Islamic center on Ground Zero may not be entirely appropriate…but to take that show on the road and bitch all over the country anytime Muslims attempt to move into a new building? Ignorance is bliss…and the Tea Party has never been more blissful.

  • cessnadriver

Does the fact that the Islamic center in NYC isn't on “ground zero” elude you?

  • Prattvictory

You go twenty miles for the California Coast and you're in the dumbest part of Tennessee.

Temecula is filled with dumbass contractors who bought cheap houses and spent as much on their monster trucks. Now they can't afford either and they're bitter. So their Christian huckster preacher has given them something to focus their bitterness on.

  • cessnadriver

This is such a good way to show the world that the USA isn't at war with Islam, just with Islamic terrorists.

  • scytherius

Boy you are SO dead on. I live in Socal and Temcula is like they took the worst part of TN and airlifted it.

  • scytherius

One of these days, the Baggers don't realize, people are going to start shooting back.

  • cessnadriver

Interesting that the person whose name you use as your avatar ran away from a bigoted system at the peril of his life, and died early in a cause that resulted in a Nation with the greatest religious tolerance and freedom in the history of the world.

  • http://www.bobcatarts.com Robert Gandy

All of the various Muslims I've met across the country are normal, every day people. All. Of. Them. The small percentage of extremists that twist the religion to something violent can be found in ANY religion.

I'm sorry your only experiences with Islam have been bad.Your opinion has been sorely abused. You find, unfortunately, there are violent fringe elements within just about every religion. They don't represent the sane, nonviolent majority.

    Do Muslims hate dogs?

  • MRAMERICA4U

First sentance “The Council on American-Islamic relations has condemned plans for a TeaParty protest outside a southern California MOSQUE whose organizers are urging protesters to bring dogs with them because Muslims “hate dogs”",2nd sentance about a current makeshift mosque. So why dont YOU actually READ the article yourself and see how that works…by the way.racism has nothing to do with religion

It is not crispus' fault. He does not know difference between Islam and anti-Islam forces created by CIA in 1970s, like Taalban, Al-Qaidah wahabyism etc. He does not know the world history, so I do not blame him poor soul!

  • TheDevilCanDance

Yes indeed because jackass like yourself are expert in comparative religions. Like most of your ignorant Yankee echo chambers for hate; you probably didn't even knew the meaning of Muslin before 9/11.

  • TheDevilCanDance

    Yeah Muslims are so bad……

In Hitler's Mein Kampf volume I, at the end of chapter 2, the Fuhrer said: “Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.”

  • twisted_colour

Probably not because of the whole kosher thing, probably because of the halal thing.

  • dennycrane

    “Marf, marf.”

That's the noise that a “hair lip” tea-baggers dog makes.

  • twisted_colour

by the way.racism has nothing to do with religion

No, but bigotry certainly does, and I've got ten bucks here that says most of those religious bigots are also racists (even though they'll tell you that they've got a friend who is black).

  • twisted_colour

    Huh? You wanna rephrase that?

  • hounddogg

har har har…that's so old. i forgot to laugh..

I can guess how the congregants at an evangelical church down in Deliverance Country would respond to a bunch of Muslims showing up to scream abuse at them. I would imagine the Muslims might not take too kindly to this treatment either.

Please, Tea Baggers. Leave your dogs at home. Seeing their racist slob owners eating asphalt might be traumatic for them.

  • glenoglenda

The bank certainly couldn't be adjacent to the current mosque, could it, and most bigots don't distinguish between muslims & arabs, do they?

  • yvonneo

The teabaggers can't seem to make up their minds whether they're FOR the Constitution or against it. I guess they're only FOR it when it suits them, but conveniently ignore it when it doesn't. This is reminiscent of the civil rights violations of African American citizens during the 1960s (think Mississippi Burning). If they want to peacefully protest–that's one thing, that's their right–but they have absolutely no right to violate the rights of others while in the process of exercising their rights.

  • yvonneo

Did you know that there are 460 dimples on a golf ball?

  • hounddogg

so do you ever check your mail?…

  • yvonneo

The teabaggers pretty much hate anything they're told to hate by their masters…the GOP.

  • chrislib

All the muslims have to do is wave pots of boiling water at the tea bag people, and they'll run for cover.

  • kiboshki

Splitting hairs. From their local newspaper, on 23 July 2010
    http://www.myvalleynews.com/story/49601/

“An e-mail alert sent to area newspapers last week announced that a one-hour “singing – praying – patriotic rally” will begin at 12:30 p.m. July 30 at the Islamic Center’s existing facility.”

The protest is at their place of worship. It is a temporary “makeshift” mosque, but a mosque nonetheless.

  • kiboshki

    Then call 'em Poo Baggers.

  • MRAMERICA4U

I know there is not a mosque, there is a protest at a bank and Raw spiced it up with a spin (lie). This is not real news,it is propaganda for entertainment purposes.Investigate for yourself.

  • Robert Shaftoe

Fear and intimidation (and in this case animal exploitation) are all they have.

That's fine. Just wave a tax form or a dictionary or a copy of the actual Constitution and Bill of Rights in the faces of the TeaBaggers and they'll run. Throw tennis balls past the dogs and their owners and watch the mayhem ensue as the stupid fat teabaggers have to chase their recreation-deprived dogs down the street.

Also, teabaggers aren't the only ones who can get permits to conceal carry, but who needs a gun when you have a brain?

One can easily purchase devices that emit a tone that will stop a dog from advancing. While I wouldn't choose this over having a good supply of dog treats and tennis balls on hand, I really think you have to come to this dog show with a big heart and a sharp tongue for those who would put their dogs into their politics. Shame on them.

  • MRAMERICA4U

I am splitting hairs trying to cut down on propaganda. There is a legit story here so no need for exaggeration.

“ACT! for America” was introduced to a local cAlifornian Tea Party Group (in fact, OC Central Party). This 'educational' (what Goebbel's would have called it, too) event informs TP's about 'stealth Jihad'…I'm not worried about Stealth Jihad. I'm worried about wackos w/dogs harrasing worshipers.

    See u in Temecula!

  • flowerguerrilla

They are pawns for corpora-fascists who run this country, who want to distract from the real enemy (corpora-fascists – think Banksters, war profiteers/oil profiteers) and like most good fascist movements, they need a scapegoat or two.

what a sad country we have become.

  • Budzilla

In response to Prattvictory, et al:

    Been to Redding?

  • yvonneo

I agree–the real enemy of the people are the international banksters/multinational corporations. Unfortunately, the teabaggers just can't seem to wrap their brains around that concept and so they are easily manipulated by wedge issues. Today, the wedge issue is illegal immigration, Another wedge issue was gay marriage, And these wedge issues have a tendency of appearing during an election year–but the people never learn. They play us like a fine tuned fiddle.

And it is indeed very sad that our country is being systematically destroyed by a bunch of robber barons, while we're all focused on fighting each other. Divide and conquer has always been a very effective tactic.

I wish all churches were greeted with protests. Islam has some bad problems, for sure, and I wouldn't wish that religion on my worst enemy, but historically christians are just as bad, if not worse. Nowadays, even Buddhists are known to go around killing those that somehow antagonize them in some places. Religion sucks, Islam and Christianity super suck, and lame ass churches taking up valuable real estate sucks moose bag. That being said, I hope the Teabaggers all catch pernicious anemia and a case of the buboes and die horribly, the douche-tards.

The hatred evidenced by the protests against the mosque is not unique to the Tea Party. Anti-Islamic and anti-Arab sentiments have been around a long time. Negative images of Arabs/Muslims rise and fall as our involvement in the Middle East results in open hostilities or economic relations. What I ask the anti-Arab/Muslim groups is how do they justify using the excuse of protecting Iraqis or Afghans who are Muslim in the expenditure of billions of dollars and the cost of thousands of dead and tens of thousands of wounded? I wonder why 9 of the 11 terrorists that struck on September 11 were Saudis–could it be that the hatred we feel towards Muslims manifested itself? The “war on terror” is our self-fulfilling prophecy.

  • http://twitter.com/FellOnEarth Eric Poole

As a Temecula resident for over 30 years, I've watched the community grow like a bloated pustule with “conserved conservative Christians” flocking from Orange County and North County (San Diego). Over the years I've watched these self-righteous and intolerant creeps protest everything from movie theaters to coffee shops with self-righteous indignation. They've tried to stack the school board and city council, they've protested taxes with their duck pond fouling tea parties (when taxes are the lowest they've been in 60 years), they've protested and run off legal immigrants looking for work, and now they're ready to take on the Muslim community because it's the 'in' thing to do. I'm sick and tired of these people and I want my town back, too bad it's become a city plagued with reactionary half-wit, neo-conservative, nut-jobs (here is a place where Sara Palin & Michelle Bachman would feel at home). I just wish there were a few more people around to protest the mega churches here when they were being built (hypocrites).

An email from the Teabagger leader was sent out to all members of his org. instructing them to bring their dogs to harass the Muslims.

Oh and by the way…the Teabaggers had best be very careful how they handle those dogs. Assault is defined as one perceiving him/herself in eminent, physical danger and the “reasonable man” standard is applied and the jury is instructed by the judge to decide whether or not, based on the evidence, they would have regarded themselves as in danger if they had been in the victims shoes.

In other words…a lot of klansmen…oops…I mean teabaggers will probably be going to prison if they carry out their threat.

Well if you define it as “exact spot where one of the WTC buildings once stood”…then no, but if its part of the ‘to be developed area’ that only became available because of the events of 9/11…then its another matter. In any case…I can grasp the sensitivity at stake…but only for NYC…that dog don’t hunt anywhere else.

either way…I mostly blame the property owners and developers for holding the city hostage for a decade and demanding ever larger concessions in order to rebuild. This conversation wouldn’t be happening if those assholes had come to the table ready to plan something other than a clusterf*ck 6 years ago. I still wonder if they didn’t green light a project by an Islamic group just to create a media shitstorm and force the city to intervene and hand over cash to subsidize a more popular project.

Not according to the Qur'an, of which a large percentage deals with the Hebrew Prophets, Jesus, Mary and Jesus' teachings. (tho it certainly doesn't blame Eve like the Judeo-Christian scripts do!)

In the Qur'an, Christians and Jews are called “People of The Book”; also no matter what a person's religion is, his/her beliefs are to be respected as long as they don't prevent a Muslim from doing his/her duty (Prayer, etc). That person is to be treated fairly, all agreements, contracts, etc are to be performed in good faith.

In the Qur'an, God reveals to the Prophet Muhammad: I have sent to all nations a messenger, some of whom you know (eg Abraham, etc) and some you don't.
Clearly, that is a statement that of a common bridge with all peoples regardless of how they kneel, prostrate, what they wear on their heads, etc.

But like most things, very esp religions: God Reveals, man conceals.
Not a single blessed revelation from God/Universal Being/whatever is safe from the corruption of man's interpretation.
Another way to put it: follow the money and the quest for power

Don't get me wrong though. There really is a push by some organized groups who are Islamists. They (those few) really do want to take over the world and enforce Sharia Law. I think it is somewhat more serious and dangerous than their cousins', the Christian kooks. Reason being, the laws are written and clear. Sure you can see the law in say, Deuteronomy, but there is no modern connection (no one is actually stoning people for working on the Sabbath, for example, although it is clearly written that that is the punishment). The problem is that there is no historical demarcation between the Islamic law and modern times as with the Temple destruction or the “New Deal” post God's Son sacrifice.

Whereas, you can see that if you assume the roll (for a moment) of someone very literally minded who really wants to follow their God and thinks the Koran is such a guide, that you'd feel almost compelled to want to enforce such laws. There is a literal guide for them.

Modern Jews and Christians have separated themselves from things like killing folks over baking bread on a certain day of the week. If you think literally and go read the old laws, it does say, “God said…” but we've created a separation from those texts, calling it dispensations or whatever. And that's a good thing! I'm not even interested in going back to the cruel laws of England in the 1700's, let alone some group from 400 BC (or whenever)!

Somehow, most modern Muslims are NOT supportive of things like cutting off hands and taking all that stuff as a literal command, but there are entire and powerful nations who do hold that as policy. It is not just among kook groups (similar to our kook cults like Branch-Dravidian). I do think it is a terrible mistake to not see how huge that population is in the world, and not to recognize that most are not wanting to take over the world.

They (the majority) can be our allies but every time someone makes rash statements, it pushes the moderates away and towards the radicals. Every time someone says “rag heads” or “kick their ass and take their gas” or implies we want to convert them all… another gun gets turned away from the radicals and towards our troops over there.

    Be nice! ;-)

  • rustyhoundog

The organizer is too stupid to separate the Muslim religion from aspects of Arabic culture. American Muslims have as many dog pets as members of any other religion in America. It's people in Arab countries who see dogs as offensive. It's a cultural thing, like showing the bottoms of your feet or throwing shoes as a demonstration of contempt and disrespect.

Such absolute stupidity deserves the non-reaction it will get in Southern California.

  • wiselatina

Dogs? What about all the guns those tea bags carried to town hall meetings? What happened to all the guns?

  • davidrvelasquez

If that's your idea of christianity then I would if I were them.

It seems obvious if there is no civilian leadership left beyond Barrys's happy harvard resume smiles, we are stuck. With this sectarian conflagration the USA will rapidly devolve into an Arizona style lawless state.

Could a benevolent dictator yet save us. Arent there some serious economic ecologic energy issues pressing for attention.

  • MikeHaas82

And wouldn't it be hilarious if the Muslims attending brought their own dogs? I wonder if the Tealiban would understand the irony. Or if the Muslim women spontaneously broke into a Beyonce' number?

Lol. That’s quite an argument you have here……Your critical thinking ability is located below the belt, no wonder you have a tendency to associate crotch and mind, but never let your dick do the talking when you are out of Viagra….

  • mindboggeling

The tea baggers are bank rolled by the koch brothers and dick army. There may be a few ron paul fans in there, but by and large they are people who started protesting against the government when they woke up and found a black president. They hate everyone dick army and friends tell them too. They hate all people of color and all religions that aren't closely related to their own. Their religions are made of people who are just as intolerant. The republicans love stirring the pot. Whipping the tea baggers into a frenzy in preparation for the up coming town hall meetings they have promised to have. We already know republicans are hateful, scared, obedient followers. While their politicians like mike pence went on tv today and declared he had never seen a racist sign at any teaparty function. I wonder if the smirk will be wiped off his face when violence starts erupting in our streets. I can only hope he is in the thick of it when it happens. The republicans don't care what they do to this country as long as they win the election. They didn't care that one of the worst texas governors was running for president as long as they won. They didn't care that bush all but destroyed this country as long as they won the reelection. The republicans just don't care about this country as long as they win the next election. They want to bring back the bush policies even though they failed miserably. The republicans are a vicious, hate filled racist organization and we can expect nothing but more hate and eventually violence. May be then they will finally care about the country….but I seriously doubt they will ever learn.

  • chmyers

suggest another term, then. After the abject failure of capitalist democracy, force has to be in the equation to restore lawless elements. Start with stolen elections, torture, war contractor no-bid contract theft, bankster bailouts and now outright disobedience by teabaggers

  • an0id

“if thats your idea of christianity”, like, are you even replying to me orrrr, you click the wrong box. Either way, high five.

We've actually gone ahead and just educated our children to be rational, objective, and openminded. Taught them not remain oblivious to obvious contradictions and not to fear to question authories when imposed with the improbable factless, baseless stories. In short, I promote individuals to think for themselves. As such so do my children.

That being said the lesser of the evils is still islam by a great distance and the enemy of my enemy is at least a worthy tool, right?

  • an0id

I get alot of flack on here for “ignorant hate of islam” but you are absolutly right man, organized church, islam, scientology, chatholosicm, ALL OF THEM, all breed distrust, abuse, manipulation and violence.

I stand firm however when i say these hardline christians are going to be our first defence against islam here in north america. Honestly, Im more than willing to encourage little M.A.D, if they want to bring it im not going to stop them, if the muslims are still knee-jerk freak the fuck out when you 'insult them' insecure then the rest of us athiest-ish sideliners are in for a sweet ass show and very pleasant future for mankind.

  • davidrvelasquez

The only possible inference I could take from your comment was the demonizing of Islam.
I may have misread your meaning… but that seemed the only one possible.
Vilifying one religion over any other (especially considering they all share the same roots) seems an irrational and pointless exercise. At this point they've all gone off the deep end.

I've similarly raised my kids to question these things. And by their choice they're also non religious.

It is a disease of the mind, anyone who doesnt have any religeous attatchments seems to know this. Its like inside info for the mentally healthy. You learn that once you realize that medival people didnt actually receive instruction from a giant talking head or magical floating people with wings.

You talk about growing congregation in the US. Islam that is the fastest growing religon in the world far outstriping the comparativly weak participation of american churches. (Not that growth of american mormons doesnt frighten me, dont get me wrong)

Yankees think they have muslim problems, talk to anybody in france or denmark and learn about what they are doing to those societies and then come back and tell me im being short sighted.

And islamaphobe? No i think a true islamaphobe wouldnt speak out against islam for the obvious threat of being STONED TO DEATH. And if dreaming of world where story books books like the Quran arnt being indoctrined and used to excuse murder, rape, gender slavery or a plethora of other inhumane or irrational practices then YES, im a twisted fuck arnt I.

I beg your pardon, but its up to you to choose a less idiotic approach. My term, oxymoron, means two mutually exclusive words used to describe a single thing. Its your call, but I would suggest anything that implies dictatorship as benevolent is pure EVIL!

the felons and sociopaths galore do not fit any of these definitions. We are past the era of carrots and sticks. Even a low level civil war will require harsh actions.

Katrina was a humanitarian failure, Bushco used that to bring in blackwater, the media focused on pillage. Onerous teabaggers will need swift discipline or we are all toast. Its unrealistic to suggest minutemen will not resort to vigilantism and felons will cave to polite citations.

I demonize them all equally and at every opportunity. In recent however, its become apparent to me that one evil has become horrifically larger and more insane than the other. Call me a Stalinist or what you will but if we're going to rid the peoples minds of this crap, we gotta start with the largest, fastest spreading and to most oppressive and intruding religeon of them all.

I think I posted this to someone else on here, the enemy of my enemy is at the least a usefull tool.

  • rustyhoundog

So, you expect the gutless wonders who hide behind the internet to produce scary stories will somehow find the cojones to wage any kind of war?

I don't think so, not after reading about one black dude at the Baltimore NAACP office greeting a crowd of armed Tea Party members protesting outside that office who scared them off just by carrying a silhouette pistol, a fancy target weapon.

Skin head attitudes of contempt for those not skin heads is a sure way to lose. There are those of us who have been adequately trained, with real combat experiences, who will not just lie down and roll over for a bunch of stupid, oppressive a**holes.

  • TheDevilCanDance

You live in fear…that's a major handicap.

You damned Yankees always have to fear and hate something. That is why the rest of the world cannot stand you.

  • davidrvelasquez

“its become apparent to me that one evil has become horrifically larger and more insane than the other”…..” largest, fastest spreading and to most oppressive and intruding religeon of them all”

This is where I completely disagree. I've lived in predominantly muslim neighborhoods in europe. And I've lived in exclusively christian communities in the US. I have seen instances where islamic middle eastern values clashed with host western european mores…. it does happen and I don't agree with that when it does.
I've also seen the generosity of spirit and humility inherent in the moslem faith…. something you see less and less in christianity these days.
Islam is NOT worse than christianity.
There are christian and catholic enclaves throughout the US and the world that are straight oppressive, intrusive and rife with intolerance…. intolerance to the point of violence.
Even moreso, most of the extremist violence in the west comes from the frustrations of those living under oppressive conditions. The extremist violence we see in the Middle east and Asia comes as a reaction from western expansionism. The Taliban is something that we created…. by training afghanistanis to fuck with the russians, by installing and supporting puppet regimes in Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and Pakistan… by encouraging, funding and militarily supporting jewish extremists in Palestine.
Fast growing? ….where the hell do you get that?
Islamists might consider us 'infidels' of some sort… but christian evangelists got us into invading Afghanistan and Iraq to further THEIR desire for religious expansionism. Even their two faced support for Israel is based on their desire for 'the Holy Land' to go up in flames so that they can bring about the 'Apocalypse and return of the Messiah'.
    Nah, man.
Vilifying Islam over all the other religions is bullshit… worse yet, it empowers christian and jewish extremists who are already smug enough, and dipshit tea party racists who are already deluded enough.
    Fuck all that!

  • Savantster

Does that really matter? As xtains, they are to “judge not lest ye be judged”, and they are to let people live their lives as they see fit; only god can judge and only god has the right to punish.

Now, if you're talking old testament, then you're not talking xtian, you're talking Jew (for the most part).

I've never understood how people claiming there was a new testament, new covenant with their god that set down a new ideology (jesus and the new testament), always managed to use the old testament, the old understanding, the old ideology that they were told to eschew, why THAT comes out when they want to hate on people, but they swing to the new book in demanding how people treat them. ……. I guess it just reflects the core hypocrisy required to be religious in the modern (built on science) world, or to be “conservative” and use religion as a tool for personal and financial gain.

  • Savantster

“I stand firm however when i say these hardline christians are going to be our first defence against islam here in north america.”

No, your atheists are the ones who have no fear of burning in hell for killing another human. When the religitards come, you can bet many xtians will run off to their churches and start praying and begging their invisible sky fairy friend to save them.. Sure, SOME of them are “christian soldiers”, but those are of the same psycho cloth as the people you're worried about from Islam.

Your best defense against religion is education and critical thinking. If you aren't brainwashing little kids, if you aren't preparing them for a life of lies by telling them Santa and the Easter Bunny and god are real (ironically, they find out the others were lies but never seem to get that if they never see or hear god, he's not there either), and aren't using the Devil and fear of burning in fantasy land forever as a means of controlling behavior, you stand a better chance of stamping out superstition all together. Religion was born of ignorance, and it can only die in knowledge.

  • Savantster

alleged attackers.. they supposedly flew into the Pentagon that day, but none of the visual evidence I saw suggested a HUGE 757 flew into the building.. including the largest piece of debris that was hauled off (by guys in black suits) that was about 2 feet wide and 8 feet long (or something along those lines). .. the “official story”? it all “vaporized”.. LMFAO.. yeah.. suspend all laws of physics and the official story is fine.. deal in the real world, the physical world, and they have some serious explaining to do.

And, do you say 11 instead of 15 because 4 of them are still alive? I thought it was 9 of 15 were allegedly from Saudi.. with box cutters..

  • Savantster

From “The Idiots Guide to Modern Religion”, the translation is:

“Us intolerant Christians denounce(1) your desires to force the world to live by your abusive religious laws! We want the world to live by OUR abusive religious laws, and we'll get back to you on what those are. As a group, we're kind of stupid and wishy washy and don't really have any idea what our religion demands and we make shit up to hold on to political power..”

    (1) denounce: to refuse to accept. to speak of in a bad way (defined because it's a big word to have in an Idiots Guide).

  • VanBlue

I totally agree imagination is at a loss within that movement. How about opening a branch of the First Church of the Gooey Death and Discount House of Salvation across the street with a 4000 watt Wurlitzer and an loud revival choir singing 24/7?

  • http://fontofliberty.blogspot.com/ Rarian Rakista

Best defense against Muslims is to marry them like we did with the Irish, the Germans and the Jews. If you have bigotry and irrational hatreds being based on as raw a prejudice as tribalism, the whole us vs them shtick the only way to moderate them over time is to breed with them.
