The US constitution guarantees that the government cannot interfere in religious matters, so if they have met all the zoning codes, it is done. That is how Americans do things. Bush left us in free fall, and the bills coming due on a dozen wars. He started a bank stimulus giveaway that was nothing more than giving away the farm, signed the note and ran out the door. Houses had stopped selling and their value was falling a year before he left. It just kept getting worse no matter what has been done, because at this point the market is plugged with repos that will have to sell before anything else does. It was still under Bush when the banks started dumping the developers. Many had projects under way and their money was suddenly cut off, causing their projects to end up in the hands of the banks. The bankers were saying the fed was pressuring them to “clean up their balance sheets”, and the first hot potato they dropped was commercial real estate development.
Unemployment was already rising under Bush. He had cut taxes for the rich, then the middle class started losing their jobs. The tax cuts are still paying. We have bought a great deal of bad debt in recent years, which may or may not be collectable at some time. A large proportion of that is mortgage debt. Only fools get completely wiped out holding mortgage debt, because there is a house at the other end that can be rented until it sells. We have spent a good deal of money, but first, some of will come back as we recoup things like our investment in GM and home mortgages. Second, if you do not stimulate with cash to generate jobs for the middle class, you will end up like Herbert Hoover.

Actually, Guest: you are horribly mistaken. Too many people have this misconception that religions are “tolerant”. Really? Have you ever read the Bible? Or studied global/regional wars? There is tons more bloodshed in the Bible than all modern day documented wars put together! Religions/faiths are often compassionate, but tolerant? Jesus, himself was NOT tolerant. If He was, then why would there be a hell? Why have a “judgment day”? Why would He rage in the synagogues? He was the most disruptive spiritual leader of ALL time, hence him being crucified. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t crucified because he was “tolerant”. Also, your thesis has holes in it. The Word of God distinctly says that if anyone adds/changes the Scriptures they are to be viewed as demonic and not of God. Gabriel gave Mohammed (Islam) a few revelations, huh? Was Jesus (God) to busy at the time? How about the angel Moroni? Did he pinch hit for God and share some revelations to Joseph Smith (Mormonism) also? God was probably out golfing, huh? An all-knowing God doesn’t need messengers to share revelations (which lead to world religions being started) that CONTRADICT the only Scriptures that matter, the BIBLE. Also, the ONLY “prophet” claiming to be the Son of GOD is JESUS. There is no other spiritual leader in history to claim to be the Son of Mankind, the alpha and the omega. You may need to do some more research, friend.

Yes Bin Talal has funded many muslim related projects but as usual this story is one sided, You forgot to mention that he is responsible for bringing 8 billion dollars into this country in 2009 I believe if anyone is responsible for that much money into helping the CITIZENS of the united states they should be able to build whatever they want, does anyone even remember what our troops are doing over there? WE ARE TRYING to protect muslums from tyranny! Our troops are dyeing over there because the citizens of this once great country can’t do there own homework! if we can’t support what our troops are fighting for while we are in the united states then how can we support them at all? While they are trying to get Iraq’s and Afghanistan’s economy back together we are here in America making the economy worse for our OWN MUSLIM CITIZENS who EARNED there citizenship(most of which takes 18 years to get). if your going to have have an opinion about the matter get your information straight!
