GOP Rep. asks Clinton to declare WikiLeaks a ‘foreign terrorist organization’

A key Republican Congressman from New York has a new definition for the word “terrorism” that doesn’t require the use of violence or even fear.

All that’s needed to be a terrorist, according to Rep. Peter King, the incoming chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, is a website revealing inconvenient information.

That’s why King sent a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Eric Holder on Sunday, demanding that whistleblower website WikiLeaks be deemed a “foreign terrorist organization” and it’s founder declared a terror ringleader.

“To me they are a clear and present enemy to the United States of America,” he told a CBS radio reporter on Sunday.

King said the website’s release of sensitive — but not “top secret” — US diplomatic cables was “worse than a military attack.”

Declaring the site a “terrorist” group, King suggested, would allow the US “to seize their funds and go after anyone who provides them with any help or contributions or assistance whatsoever.”

He also called for site founder Julian Assange to be prosecuted under the Espionage Act.

The sequence of events in which a whistleblower provides high profile news venues with explosive information to be made public happens regularly in newsrooms across the country.

Though inconvenient for officials, the revelation of information contained in any of the WikiLeaks files, much like the Pentagon Papers amid the Vietnam war, is protected by the First Amendment — a point made by the US Supreme Court in New York Times Co. v. United States in 1971.

“In seeking injunctions against these newspapers and in its presentation to the Court, the Executive Branch seems to have forgotten the essential purpose and history of the First Amendment,” Justices Hugo Black and William Douglas wrote, taking the side of the Times, which had recently published what was then considered the largest cache of secret military information in US history.

“In the First Amendment the Founding Fathers gave the free press the protection it must have to fulfill its essential role in our democracy,” they continued. “The press was to serve the governed, not the governors. The Government’s power to censor the press was abolished so that the press would remain forever free to censure the Government. The press was protected so that it could bare the secrets of government and inform the people. Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government.”

After the release of the Pentagon Papers, Justices Black and Douglas opined that “newspapers nobly did precisely that which the Founders hoped and trusted they would do.”

According to Daniel Ellsberg, the man responsible for leaking the Pentagon Papers, WikiLeaks has done just the same.

Concurring with the court’s majority, Justice Potter Stewart added: “In the absence of the governmental checks and balances present in other areas of our national life, the only effective restraint upon executive policy and power in the areas of national defense and international affairs may lie in an enlightened citizenry – in an informed and critical public opinion which alone can here protect the values of democratic government. For this reason, it is perhaps here that a press that is alert, aware, and free most vitally serves the basic purpose of the First Amendment. For without an informed and free press there cannot be an enlightened people.”

“[The WikiLeaks] documents serve an important public interest, illuminating the goals, successes, compromises and frustrations of American diplomacy in a way that other accounts cannot match,” the Times added.

“The Attorney General and I don’t always agree on different issues, but I believe on this one, he and I strongly agree that there should be a criminal prosecution [of WikiLeaks],” Rep. King told CBS radio.

Attorney General Holder has not made any announcement regarding a criminal prosecution of the site or it’s founder. The White House strongly condemned the site’s actions on Sunday, calling the publication of State Dept. documents a continuation of a violation of law.

King’s call for prosecution was echoed Sunday by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Clair McCaskill (D-MO) and former State Department official Liz Cheney.

Julian Assange is currently wanted for questioning by Swedish authorities who are investigating a claim of rape and molestation. Assange has maintained that the charges are baseless and part of a campaign to discredit him.

A prior version of this article incorrectly credited Graham as the Senator from Georgia.

I take it that those commenting here in strong support of Wikileaks releasing USG information would also support Wikileaks leaking information from any other organization, say PETA, or the Sierra Club, or the Democratic Party, or you name it. Personally, I find it cowardly and dangerous: if you can’t trust those you work with on something you’re all dedicated to, how will we operate? And don’t just apply that to national security, but to leftist causes, libertarian causes, corporations, foundations, anything.

Shoot the messenger instead of correct the problems that he reveals. Yea, sounds like a solution to me. That is, it is a solution if you are more concerned with appearance than with substance. But, hey, why change now when it has clearly worked so well to pretend to be responsible, rational, mature, representatives of democracy, rather then actually becoming such people of integrity. Hell, integrity could have a negative impact on profits and campaign donations. Kill the massager and let some future generation clean up the mess about which he was trying to warn us.

And these are elected representatives! How could they be so dense?

“Declaring the site a “terrorist” group, King suggested, would allow the US “to seize their funds and go after anyone who provides them with any help or contributions or assistance whatsoever.”

Sounds like King could be considered a terrorist, considering the US assassinates, tortures, imprisons without trial, and snatch and grabs into black sites people that it considers terrorists, then implying that he thinks that should be done to employees of the New York Times, the AP, the Guardian, Der Spiegel, El Pais, le Monde, Raw Story, Twitter, and everyone else that has donated money to them is uttering terroristic threats to all of us.

I guess someone should give the rendition squad a phone call and King get sent to Diego Garcia so they can find out just how far his plot to terrorize people has been advanced.

What a scumbag, I guess he doesn’t like being found out as being a pawn to SaudiAramco, and he is willing to sell out anyone to continue his charade.

Leaking information to expose wrongdoing and make the world a better place is good and admirable. WikiLeaks was a great idea, but I’m afraid that Julian Assange has ruined it. I don’t really blame him, any more than I blame the newspapers, or the thief that stole the data. But, there’s no real story in the embassy cables. Leaking information just because you can… I’m not sure what that is. At best, it’s benign. At worst, it’s criminal.

I spent most of the day reading the cables and the news surrounding them, and I still haven’t found the big whistle that needed blowing. Maybe there were a few smaller whistles that could have been blown with a couple of cables here or there, but exposing essentially every cable saved since around 1966 was overkill.

If there was one whistle that did need blowing, it was that these cables were so poorly protected. Now, idiots like Rep. Peter King are trying to redirect the blame away from the government and place it on Julian Assange and WikiLeaks. Rep. King is too much of a sissy to try to blame the New York Times, and too much of a mindless pledge-of-allegience patriot to blame the government. Meanwhile, we have to endure pat-downs and x-rays at airports while our government’s databases are being robbed.

The scariest part of this particular story is that Rep. King is likely to become the next chairman of the Homeland Security Committee.

The Media has did a great job as making all these crimes were done by Obama in 2 years and the Bush Administration did nothing. Even NBC Andrea Mitchell said Hillary ordered the spying while it was ordered by Connie Rice. No one US reporter said one word about Bush or Cheney during the reporting of the crimes done over the 8 years. We are to believe Obama did all this in 9 years while Bush/Cheney held office for two seconds. BBC has listed the hold report it might clear up the spin if you read it. It will allow you to understand why Bush and Cheney haven’t been invited overseas by any World Leader. Bush felt by dening Obama Classified information as is done with every President elect. Obama had to resign from the Senate and make the calls to World Leaders who informed him of what had been going on before his election. Trust was given to Obama as it is every new President by World Leaders who learn over the 4 years if the US President becomes a liar. Bush proved to be a proved liar real quick. Cheney was know to steal the tooth out your mouth and now we know he’s heartless as World Leaders and Businesses knew this too. We haven’t heard the last of this as their are 4 million documents and I can’t wait for the names to come out and even those who were ordered to be assassinated by Dick. Bush’s Father is asking Obama to help his idiot son and himself as this hits to the heart of the Bush Family finance. I admit the Saudi King knew he had an idiot when he befriended GW and loaned him money on his failed business. Yes the Saudi’s told GW he didn’t have to pay back the loan because they waited for the right time to get billions which they did. When GW took office the Saudi King sent Bandar to stick to Bush to make sure things went the way the King wanted. Notice at the end of Bush’s second term suddenly Bandar went home no longer to be seen again as he did his job well. Cheney was easy as he is so greedy and evil it took the Middle East to play him and they won. Americans can’t figure out how the US Government works and 90 per cent can’t name the 9 US Supreme Court Justices nor the three branches of Government. Even Sarah Palin didn’t know what the duties of the Vice President was when she ran for office. McCain thought it was 1940 and has memory lost and many of the old men in office remember per Civil Rights, Woman’s Rights and even Voting Rights. The Tea Party is clueless but loves the attention by the Media.

Over 250,000 cables, fewer than 10% have been released and you have read and understood all of those, and extrapolated what is in the rest and made up your mind.

Wow, a speed reader and a psychic, I guess we should take your word for it and agree that whistle-blowers have been ruined by this and go back to accepting that it is not a crime to spy on United Nations officials or to base US diplomatic or military decisions on the whims of despotic regimes like Saudi Arabia. How about the reports that the Russian and Italian governments are infiltrated by organized crime, and US politicians have known this for some time, yet they are still refusing to sign the START treaty that would allow the inspection of nuclear stockpiles that are de facto CONTROLLED BY ORGANIZED CRIME?

Yeah right, nothing to see here citizen, move along.

There are too many facts that have been hidden from us for to long to mention in one post, just like there is no human way you could have analyzed all the data, especially because only a small fraction has been released, so holding off on judgment until the facts are in may be warranted. Either way, if you are going to post long posts about the irrelevance of documents you haven’t seen, and many others find to be extremely important, expect someone to call bullshit.

The truth of the matter that this new information is helping set up a push into Iran and a discrediting of diplomats in the federal government. So Common Sense tells us that Assange is a pentagon operative and these actions are simply an attempt to improve the war machine. Without getting caught up in all the BS look at the brass tax. Clearly, I haven’t read all of them. I skipped all the ones about civil aviation, for instance. I’ll gladly eat my hat if you find any evidence of a major crime by a US government official in there. Otherwise, most of the “facts that have been hidden from us for to long” are exactly the kind of facts that would bore us to tears.

So, why do we need 250K cables worth of crap? Only to prove that they can be stolen.

You consider the revelations about a despotic regime controlling US policy to be not ground shaking revelations, then I guess you also consider the fact that US officials knew that the regime they had installed in Afghanistan was comprised of heroin dealers, and when one of those heroin dealers, who is also still a high-ranking official and US ally, was found to have over $50 million while heading to the US corporate secret banking haven in Dubai, he was let through with the cash. Not only that, but the government he was part of rigged elections to continue his operations, with US backing. Sure, I guess we all knew that sort of thing was happening, now there is proof it is unimportant and boring.

Isn’t Sarah Palin’s reality show on TV tonight? Now there is something exciting, forget all this crap about the US government being in league with organized crime, dictators and drug dealers.

I used to analyze ICBM missile test flight data and held a secret clearance to do so.
The lowest level of classified information is “Restricted”,
The level above that is “Confidential”,
The next level is “NOFORN” (not releasable to foreign nations),
    The next level is “Secret”,
    Above that is “Top Secret”,
There’s another level above that that I can’t remember or discuss if I could remember.

Stop permitting the lying, cheating, and stealing everything that hasn’t been welded down from everyone on the planet by private power under the auspices of peace, freedom, and democracy in the name of the American people, and like magic, Wikileaks will become a non-issue because we’d quickly run out of enemies once we do so. Sure, if the leaker had have gone to the NY Times, the fact that the NSA tap their phones would have meant the leaker getting black bagged, we would have never heard about it, the Times would have printed a short piece on leakers being traitors and that would have been the end of it, and if the Times tried to report the truth the lawyers would have shut the whole thing down.

Instead, the New York Times gives money to the Sunshine Press and says ‘if you get anything good, make sure to share it with us’ giving themselves plausible deniabilty when dealing with their US government sources, ones they have a vested interest in keeping, and having early access to a large database of documents that they are not legally liable for, and they do not need to spend a fortune on lawyers arguing the legality of possessing. Also, when the documents do get released, then the GOP are not calling them terrorists, and they still retain some credibility with the government sources they need to do their jobs.

The Sunshine Press get the majority of their funding from media outlets, journalists and press freedom groups. The funders see this as a way to avoid lawsuits and interference from their corporate bosses when dealing with controversial material.

Massive databases of documents like wikileaks or cryptome will never be trawled through by the general public, they are just to huge and complex. Rather they are stored in a secure place where journalists, researchers, historians, activists, and others that do not find them too boring, can access and attempt to understand the connections and nuances.

In other words, the New York Times, and others including the AP (whose stories run here) are not just reporting the Wikileaks story because it is news, rather they have been funding and supporting The Sunshine Press for years, which makes them terrorists in the eyes of Peter King, but because the database is in foreign countries, they get to claim distance.

Iran is ruled by Ahmedinijad and guided by a council of men committed to justice and progress of Iran.

Based on Rep. Peter King’s (R-NY) definition of terrorism, Faux News should be declared a “foreign terrorist organization” with especially Aussie-born Rupert Murdoch and the Saudi prince, who are the largest shareholders in News Corps which owns Faux News, being terror ringleaders, with terror lieutenants like Roger Ailes and all the hosts at Faux News being rounded up and shipped off to Gitmo.

Because if disseminating information is now going to come under terrorism definitions, then Faux News terrorizes the truth and facts 24/7 each and every day of the week.

On the other hand, what Wikileaks is releasing is fact-based and truthful, showing the inner workings of so many countries around the world, with their behind-the-scenes deal-making finally being nakedly exposed for all to see, while Faux News continues to terrorize the truth in America with all their lies and propaganda, undercutting the very foundations of our democracy much more than Wikileaks is doing.

Criminal, hypocrite! He was out there supporting these criminals. Bring on the truth and openness revealing the criminal individuals bastardizing our government and the positions they hold. We need more people coming forward to expose crimes of these phonies covering up truth and crime in the name of profit and national security.

Seconded. Even IF people like Alex Jones, Stephen Webster and Noam Chomsky were CIA tools, clearly much of the information they publicize hurts establishment interests. Frankly I don’t see why the CIA would continue giving these guys money. It just doesn’t make any sense. Now I’m not trying to say Noam and Alex are perfect, but they point out a TON of shit that needs paying attention to, and there is absolutely no reason to think that their actions could serve CIA interests. Stephen Webster, on the other hand, IS perfect. ;-)

Hopefully the US Government has had the time to warn the CIA intelligence sources that their identities were about to be leaked. Read the cables, you’ll see theres information about intelligence sources, stuff which was said and who said it is in there and it’s enough information in some cases to determine exactly who said it. This ruins the lives of the sources who now have to live in hiding under assumed names.

  • http://twitter.com/savagelight ThatBostonMan

As much as I might not like what the Republican party currently stands for, this latest leak has leaked information about intelligence sources. Nothing is redacted!

How much more irresponsible could Julian Assange have been?

The cables do not have redaction and reveal intelligence sources. If you weren’t against Julian Assange before you will be after reading these cables. They put lives at risk clearly.

Thats more like it! Lets at least openly admit that when we use the word ‘terrorist’ it no longer means terrorist…it now means “anybody who disagrees with us, inconveniences us, or annoys us in any way, shape or fashion”. Enough of this playing make believe and acting like we have a real interest in stopping global terrorism…its cliched and boring…lets just admit that the real goal is to snoop on non-violent citizens of the US and other nations, persecute political minorities and anti-corporate or anti-war movements, and generally harass, intimidate or outright silence anyone we please.

    The honesty would be refreshing.

Weren’t we all waiting to see what the cables between the US an Israel said? Well, where are they??!! These cables encompass a period of time between 1996 and 2003, and there is not even one? Or was Mr. Assange not given any of these? Or has he chose to withhold only those? This is all a bunch of crap.

  • Elim

The CIA thanks you for your support.

  • Anonymous

I haven’t read the document, but you may be right that it puts lives at stake. Still, if I am willing to dedicate myself to the civil pursuit of liberty and what personal sacrifices that entails, then I believe that these identities were of a suitably allowable level of collateral damage.

Don’t belittle the fact that many countries like the US have started conflicts that have resulted in the deaths of millions of totally innocent people. It’s very dirty business, and undercover agents are hardly innocent themselves, *especially* when taking on morally questionable -or reprehensible- tasks.

The court case mentioned stands still as an excellent measure of proof of validation. These issues are hardly new, and have repeated many times with other rivals; it’s just the names of the players who are different, and some whistle-blowing is the natural balance to keep the politicians and intelligence agencies from becoming too reckless and sloppy.

  • Elim

These politicians had better watch what they say from now on. Some of those cables could have their names on them.

  • Valis

The reason the cables are not redacted is because THE USA refused to help Wikileaks in redacting them. Wikileaks specifically asked the US government to help them in ensuring their wasn’t any information released that would put lives at risk. The US REFUSED to do so! So if anyone is to blame for revealing intelligence sources and putting lives at risk, it is the US government themselves! Moron.

This Wikileak-Disclosure/debacle is a continuation of the saga/plot to sabotage efforts in regards to peace talks and to discredit Pres. Obama — to try to make him a one-term President. And sadly, it is also a history lesson on Selfishness and Greed, that some within this nation have become so self-absorbed that they put the safety and welfare of others behind their own selfish and petty interests, with the outcome of weakening and discrediting America in the eyes of the world!

These reporters (and all media who disclose these leaks) waited until we got ourselves a Black President to Dare “Tell All” in regards to classified intelligence that in normal times, and in saner times, is kept secret — has been kept secret for years! Why now do we reverse protocol and disclose what is normally kept hidden and secret and kept secret for a good reason? There is something sinister and seriously wrong, quite frankly, dangerously wrong, in America when you have some people trying to undermine America’s intelligence system in this way. First it was Valerie Plame (AND THEY GOT AWAY WITH THAT) and now this much more egregious act. Clearly, we have some serious Enemies from within. First our economy and now this!

On the flip side, “What the American plutocrat owned media never wants you to see, and that is how Europe in particular and the world in general has come to see America as a country in decline, whose people are so badly misinformed by the media, they actually don’t realize that America is the only major industrialized nation in the world that by right of law does not offer universal medical access, paid sick leave, paid maternity leave and paid annual leave. It just seems almost impossible to get that word out to American people. Even diaries on that subject at the Kos top out at just over 2,000 views. Therefore this diary today will try to do something different. It will show you what the European media is saying about the American dream and you will be shocked!”

And so it begins. I fully expect the internet to be chopped into pieces either via legislation or direct governmental action. Don’t forget that the Obama administration strongarms offshore online pharmacies that threaten big pharma’s profits (despite operating legally in their own country and it being perfectly legal for Americans to order from them *and* Obama’s own promise to open up cross-border drug sales). Oh, and the whole DHS going after “copyright infringers” without any process whatsoever.

    Why, next we’ll have Western governments threatening to imprison or fine anyone that so much as *links* to a forbidden web address. Oh, wait;

The news comes after web forum Whirlpool was threatened with the fine for posting a hyperlink to a blacklisted anti-abortion website.

If you are not out committing “corporate christian war crimes”…. you have nothing to worry about….. really.

Peter King is a domestic terrorist.

  • Anonymous

    Amen to that brother!

  • Anonymous

First time I’ve ever agreed with Rep. King.

  • Anonymous

God bless Julian Assange for giving America something which we have sadly been lacking in — freedom of the press!

And I’ll be happy to meet the candy-butt draft dodger, Petey King, anywhere…anytime…anyplace and stomp some constitutional honesty into that boy!

Under both the Espionage Act, and the Trading With the Enemies Act, the vast majority of the US Congress, and American presidents, especially from Bush back to Nixon — inclusive, would be easily found guilty under.

I heard a sound byte of that Council on Foreign Relations billionaire, Richard Haas, get his panties all wet from being so angered by Wikileaks.

If Wikileaks is the cause of all those CFR billionaires and mega-millionaires pissing themselves, they are definitely doing a whole bunch right, and speaking about “blood on one’s hands” — that very accurately describes the majority of those CFR scoundrels.

We have seen the enemy, and it is the US congress, the criminal US Supreme Court and those traitors who perform as Wall Street lackeys within each and every presidential administration dating at least back to Dickie Nixon.

Eric Holder, the black Alberto Gonsales, who made big bucks by defending the assassins and mercenaries who murdered Browns and Blacks in South American and Africa, on behalf of Chiquita (formerly known as United Fruit), and the oil companies, is one more for the official enemies of America list.

No free passes for anyone, targets acquired. This new American Christmas tradition, whereby one or the other intel agency recruits, sets up, then ostensibly busts, a “terrorist” is getting real stupid, and real old, real fast.

Last year it was that young Nigerian fellow who the Europeans wouldn’t allow to board a commercial airliner because he fit the exact terrorist profile: no passport, no luggage, kept mumbling “jihad….jihad” and was wearing exploding underwear.

Then a member of the American embassy, later identified as a member of the US intel community, whisks this guy through customs and helps him board the jet, later to attempt to ignite his undies.

Anyone else beginning to note an obvious pattern here?

None of those you mention are considered “significant” in any “major media”. Maddow is getting close, but don’t forget that the right-leaning Comcast just bought her station.. plan on seeing some “directional changes” at MSNBC soon.

“These leaks should be mandatory reading in all places of higher learning.”

Exactly, and from one of them we have already learned a major cause of the deficit (ATTENTION: Terrorit Deficit Commission appointed by Terrorist Obama): the VP of Afghanistan brining $52 million — on a single trip — into the United Arab Emerates to establish an offshore account.

Now how’s about that unaccounted for $17.7 billion missing in Afghanistan? Where’s that at, Bushie and Obomber? That’s why there’s such a humongous deficit.

Just like those unaccounted for Iraq reconstruction funds ($8.7 billion and counting), when Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was chief of the NY Federal Reserve, where they were kept on account, and his BFF, Daniel Zelikow, was the managing director in charge of the Iraq Trade Bank account for JPMorgan Chase.

These are the causes of the deficits, both deficit spending and the trade deficit. That $52 million was from the US government, not from Peter G. Peterson, who avoids paying his taxes. Not from David Rockefeller, who avoids paying his taxes. Not from Hank Greenberg, nor Henry Kravis, nor Robert Rubin, nor Alan Greenspan, nor Arthur Leavett, nor Phil and Wendy Gramm, not Larry Summers, nor Neal Wolin, nor Richard Holbrooke, nor Robert Hormats, nor Hank Paulson……

Oh, puuuuhlease, bacalove, confusing and misdirecting member of the Obama Apology and Propaganda Network, cut the crap already!

Citing political theater meant to confuse everyone is pure BS. From Obama back to Nixon, they have ALL been the bankster lackeys.

    PERIOD. Get some sense, lowbrow.

The Two Bradleys, heroes of America!

Yup, Bradley Manning is a true American hero. And Bradley Burkenfeld, although I know little about him, also appears to be yet another American hero, and both are in jail now.

Eric Holder, the black Alberto Gonsales, saw to the prosecution, begun in the Bush administration and continued under the Obama administration, which has continued pretty much all the Bush policies, even expanding some of them.

When only the honest and true are jailed, this corporate fascist state of America is nothing more than a complete amorality play.

The GOP is the biggest country killing terrorist organization I know of home and abroad. WikiLeaks just documents it. Besides that the GOP strategy of declaring everything they disagree with a terror organization is a loosers game and only desensitizes Americans to real terrorist. How did Tom DeLay’s trial turn out? I heard he attempted to have the jury declared a terrorist organization.

Of course we will, those “elected officials” in the pocket of the banksters, and the banksters themselves, love their Chinese Totalitarian State to death, as they wish their deaths upon us.

Definitely not the fully privatized US intelligence establishment, which has only ever been concerned with financial intelligence to grow their ill-gotten fortunes, and using sensitive information for political command and control.

The present SecDef, Robert Gates, was that clown who claimed, in his intel estimates when he was at the CIA, that the Soviet Union’s economy was twice its actual size, and that they had all these super-advanced weapons system which it turned out they never possessed!

Nope, it has always been about the money….

Oh come on! It was wikileaks that made obama freeze government wages. It will also be wikileaks fault that obama goes along with the tax extension for the wealthy. Not to mention all of the other pro-corporate america actions that obama has taken. And hey who in america takes responsibility for their own actions anymore?

Faux News should also be designated a “foreign terrorist organization” if Wikileaks is.

Two sides of the same coin, with Wikileaks releasing factual information, while Faux News lies, lies, lies, being a wholly-owned propaganda outlet of another “foreign terrorist organization,” the new Republican Party of today, one that won’t even ratify the new START treaty.

  • Anonymous

    OK, you’re right.

And I agree it was wikileaks who was responsible for the murder of ArchDuke Ferdinand back in ……what?….1914???

  • Anonymous

Dood, you talk as if it is some monolithic super organization.

You watch a lot of movies and TV, I’m guessing?

Wikileaks is an international people’s organization, which is why they are so easily susceptible to pressure from foreign intel agencies on prissy, candy-assed Swedish prosecutors, and that paypal-like outfit which discontinued their account.

We are all wikileaks, dood! Try and sound at least semi-intelligible, huh?

This is laughable! All the thieving politicians/corporate fascists movers and shakers are shitting their collective pants about the “Leakers.” The flying roach that has crawled up their shitholes and learned all their filthy but profitable secrets is buzzing around and telling everybody. How’s a crooked, evil, vile, earth hating Nazi supposed to steal the money and the resources? Why, they might be living under bridges if they had to find a job….here in Douchebagville.Get that duct tape over the lips of these whistle blowing pricks and do it TODAY, mutha fugger!

Think about it…the bar has been raised mighty high, thanks to Bush and Cheney. Shit, if you can make up wars and just go ahead and use the Army, Air Force, Navy, FBI, CIA and every other goddamned thing we taxpayers give the fuckers….and just go ahead and kill a shitload of those poor bastards while you have them all over the world murdering any poor fucker who gets in the way! If you can just walk away from crimes like that and help yourself to most of the national treasury on the way out the door……and do all that with ABSOLUTELY NO FEAR OF PUNISHMENT OR RETRIBUTION…….why shouldn’t each and every one of us shed our morals and our character and our good name and get on out there and do some fucking ripping and robbing?

The prisons are already filled to the roof so if all of us started popping a shitload of moneymaking felonies tonight….what in the fuck would they do with all of us?

I wanna keep Wikileaks and I want these fuckers that are pissed and worried about the dirty laundry thrown out on the front lawn to kindly get fucked up your ass by a very large drill bit spinning at a shitload of RPM. Then hustle your bleeding asses over to the nearest prison and demand entry.

    Oh no…..indeed!

He could have been as irresponsible as Bush/Vader in actually getting agents in Valerie Plame’s group killed as a direct result of their testosterone pique at Joe Wilson over the weapons of mass distraction.

What Wikileaks has done here is tell the truth . . .and the Uglicans just think it is giving them Hell.

“Even NBC Andrea Mitchell said Hillary ordered the spying while it was ordered by Connie Rice.”

Your comments demonstrate your gullibility. Obviously, the wife of Alan Greenspan would be expected to prattle such drivel.

There is NO media in the USA. It’s a waste to expend the energy critiquing them.

There is NO economy in the USA; they have spent the past thirty plus years dismantling it, which is why we have so many debt-financed billionaires today.

Every single president from at least Nixon on (probably Johnson as well) to the present one was the banksters’ choice.

McCain’s econ advisor was Phil Gramm, the vice-chairman of UBS (as in Union Bank of Switzerland), and one of the economic meltdown perpetrators gang.

Obama’s econ advisor was Robert Rubin, another member of the same gang.

    H. Clinton’s advisors were in a similar category.

There is no difference, there is no “good cop….bad cop” — Obama was brought in to finish up the privatization of everything (in this particular instance, public education and Social Security), just as Clinton was brought in when Bush #1 faltered in getting NAFTA passed; and Clinton/Gore successfully passed NAFTA, GATT, China’s entrance into the WTO, the WTO Financial Services Agreement, the Telecommunications Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act, and the Commodity Futures Modernization Act.

And Gore’s “carbon offsets” originated early on in the Reagan Administration, and was promptly laughed out of congress as there were still a few authentic democrats left back then. And Gore’s carbon trading hedge fund (Generation Asset Management, found within the Clarion Group, or maybe it’s the Capricorn Group, I don’t quite remember) is about the next stage in shadow banking, giving ever more money to Wall Street and the oil cartel in the form of carbon permits and carbon derivatives.

There is no difference. Read Chris Hedges. Think analytically. Please.

Today as I read through all the different news sources; I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s people like Mr. King who continue to defend and justify America’s undefendable behavior that keep this nation from growing. Everyone wants to kill the messenger, our Government attitude of let’s just blame Mr. Assange or any of the volunteers that may work with him for the problem. Why blame Wikileaks for the problem’s our brain dead leaders created. Instead of blaming, perhaps they went to office for and thats to protect and carry out the duty of guardians of our Constitution.
There is a hero to this story and it’s all the people that were brave enough to bring these memo’s to the forefront and share them with American people.

Finally, freedom is an open door that tossing human race to rogue-states’ cave. Who will win in this battle? Clearly not those who wish for freedom because they are excitingly beating the drum to bring down their governments. Not those who still put themselves under guideline respecting public opinion. Evil flourishes when good men and women do nothing. I rest my case. The implications of this article, when taken to the FED fascist extreme, would infer that simply disagreeing with the party line, by publishing inconvenient truths, would invite becoming labeled as a seditious terrorist. The question for me is simple:

Since when is publishing the truth an act of terror? If the technology surrounding these so called classified cables was being handled in a competent manner, they could never have been accessed anyway. When people gradually begin to increasingly fear, hate and despise their government, if that government is being revealed as corrupted, then more and more people employed by that government will betray it’s confidence in the same manner that this soldier did.

These reactions by Clinton and the GOP leader seem to me to be out of all proportion to the nature of the incident. If there is nothing wrong, if there are no ugly evil little secrets to hide, then why over-react in such a manner?

It makes me much more keen to see what will be disclosed in the months to come. It appears the Obama White House is really, truly worrried about what the American public and the rest of the world is soon to learn.
