One of the women accusing WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange of sex crimes appears to have worked with a group that has connections to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

James D. Catlin, a lawyer who recently represented Assange, said the sex assault investigation into the WikiLeaks founder is based on claims he didn’t use condoms during sex with two Swedish women.

Swedish prosecutors told AOL News last week that Assange was not wanted for rape as has been reported, but for something called “sex by surprise” or “unexpected sex.”

One accuser, Anna Ardin, may have “ties to the US-financed anti-Castro and anti-communist groups,” according to Israel Shamir and Paul Bennett, writing for CounterPunch.

While in Cuba, Ardin worked with the Las damas de blanco (the Ladies in White), a feminist anti-Castro group.

Professor Michael Seltzer pointed out that the group is led by Carlos Alberto Montaner who is reportedly connected to the CIA.

Shamir and Bennett also describe Ardin as a “leftist” who “published her anti-Castro diatribes (see here and here) in the Swedish-language publication Revista de Asignaturas Cubanas put out by Misceláneas de Cuba.”

Shamir and Bennett noted that Las damas de blanco is partially funded by the US government and also counts Luis Posada Carriles as a supporter.

A declassified 1976 document (.pdf) revealed Posada to be a CIA agent. He has been convicted of terrorist attacks that killed hundreds of people.

Ardin is “a gender equity officer at Uppsula University – who chose to associate with a US funded group openly supported by a convicted terrorist and mass murderer,” FireDogLake’s Kirk James Murphy observed.

In August, Assange told Al-Jazeera that the accusations were “clearly a smear campaign.”

“We have been warned that, for example, the Pentagon is planning on using dirty tricks to destroy our work,” Assange told the Swedish daily newspaper Aftonbladet.

The WikiLeaks founder said he was told to be careful of “sex traps.” Had Assange fallen for one of those traps? “Maybe. Maybe not,” he said.

Catlin observed that both Ardin and Sofia Wilén, the second accuser, sent SMS messages and tweets boasting of their conquests following the alleged “rapes.”

“In the case of Ardin it is clear that she has thrown a party in Assange’s honour at her flat after the ‘crime’ and tweeted to her followers that she is with the ‘the world’s coolest smartest people, it’s amazing!’” he wrote.

“The exact content of Wilén’s mobile phone texts is not yet known but their bragging and exculpatory character has been confirmed by Swedish prosecutors. Niether Wilén’s nor Ardin’s texts complain of rape,” Catlin said.

Ardin has also published a seven step guide on how to get revenge on cheating boyfriends.

When the charges were first leveled in August, Gawker raised doubts that Ardin was working for the CIA.

“If anything, Ardin’s outing tends to undercut Assange’s conspiracy theory that one of his accusers is a major figure on Sweden’s left fringe, freewheelingly indiscreet on her personal blog and, until her charges, an enthusiastic promoter of Assange’s visit to the country,” Gawker wrote.

After Interpol issued a digital “wanted” poster for Assange on Monday morning, an unnamed Scotland Yard source reportedly told Press Association it had been given the documents needed for the arrest. Police would not comment on the report publicly.

Several British news outlets speculated that Assange could be arrested as early as Tuesday.

On Monday evening, Mark Stephens, Assange’s London lawyer, was negotiating with British authorities over an arrest warrant they’d received from their Swedish counterparts. Assange has vowed to fight extradition.

this is kind of funny, because if the sex was consensual as it appears it is the responsibility of both parties to ensure that a condom is used. You can’t just accuse one person in this case

    Therefore there is no case

  • Anonymous

You are absolutely correct , they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it . But now even though it’s obvious what’s going on lets see if it continues anyway . It is and has been obvious for quite a while we were lied into these wars and stolen blind by Wall street . But you may notice we’re still occupying these countries wasting now trillions of dollars for no legitimate reason , national security or otherwise . The bankers who caused this financial mess have not only not been prosecuted but have been allowed to keep their booty . So who is the government going after with a vengeance ? Anyone who dares bring these facts to light . Concerned , no furious and demanding that these wars be stopped , the people who lied us into them brought to justice , the thieving bankers who caused this mess jailed and their ill gotten gains confiscated . But don’t hold your breath , the perpetrators have gained control of our political system , our justice system and the final nail , our media and press . It looks like we might as well have a fork stuck in us , we’re done .

The use of the ‘sex pervert’ label to discredit people who question power is disquieting, in that, like other labels, it’s losing its meaning. In the past I would have been bummed that Assange was a ‘sex perv’ but this time I just assumed it was a setup. Time to revisit other whistleblowers who were labeled perv’s.

Just remember that this is how far we have sunk as so-called civilized nations. There may not be much that the average person can do, but at the very least keep in mind that our government and sanctioned media have skipped down the Orwellian road of placating the masses and demonizing those who would expose countless acts of crimes committed by all the participants of our great Democracy. Remember that most of the Countries have interlocking interests/treaties and that even those that would ordinarily bristle at coercion are just as complicit. I commend Assange not as a terrorist, but rather an example for our poor excuse for News Outlets that are currently pets of government both State and Federal . It truly amuses me how they have obviously made a calculated estimation of public and it looks like a scene out of the silent film “Metropolis” where there are just millions of us proles to turn cranks, push buttons and be replaced/ put in our station/ or like the bravest..be hunted down and destroyed…physically psychologically denigrated and marginalized.

The idea is to get Assange into custody in Britain or Sweden and then after some mock judicial proceedings have him extradited to the US. His legal defense fund has been frozen by the Swiss government so it should all go pretty easy for the authorities. Once here he will disappear into the nastiest supermax they have; perhaps even Guantanamo.
The speed with which all this will be accomplished will astonish us all. Contrast with the treatment Pinochet received in the UK.

Great Britain is considering an extradition for Assange back to Sweden for “surprise sex?” Judas H. Priest, this all gets weirder by the minute.

    This is simply the Swedish.
Their attitude to prostitution makes everything out of the ordinary something to “investigate”. So when you visit Sweden, be careful with the local girls, make them complete a Consent form in triplicate, endorsed signature by an independent witness, best stamped by a notary. Then use new rubber, and if more than one, make certain that the second is not the witness.
Heck, grow up, and get used to civilisation!

The AOL article only says that Assange’s lawyer claims to have been told that the charges are for the undefined crime of “surprise sex”. The swedish prosecutor has made no such statement and Assange IS charged with the crimes of rape and molestation. This is clear if you read the court documents related to the case. There is also no sexual crime in Sweden that would normally render a fine as low as $715.

A clarification as to what he’s actually talking about would be appreciated.

Wow.. The Kool-Aid must be extra tasty, because it seems that so many people are falling for it. Assange is a complete and utter fraud, people. He is so obviously a psy ops experiment on the American public that it’s unbelievable that most Americans can’t see it. This has the fingerprints of the C.I.A. and Mossad all over it. It’s quite disconcerting to see just how gullible we are in this country, and just how diabolicallly expert our C.I.A. and the Mossad are at their cloak and dagger psychological operations. If you can’t deduce that the so-called leaks are all slanted toward incriminating Iran, North Korea, China, and Afghanistan, nations for whom there is already general mistrust in America and the West at large, ushering in more manufactured consent for the propagation of illegal wars, then you are a blithering idiot. Or just too scared to think for yourself and go where the evidence takes you.

Sure, in the “leaks” Hilary and many few government officials and diplomats are accused of everything from abusing their positions to being wholly contemptuous individuals, but all of that is distracting gossip fodder. Sure, the execution of the Afghanistan war is painted as incompetent and grossly mismanaged. But it’s never declared illegal or a criminal enterprise in the “leaks”, which is what the actual evidence states it is. This fraud Assange said he has no respect for those who question the government’s conspiracy theory behind 9/11, that of a lone zealot in a cave and his foot-soldiers circumventing the most sophisticated security apparatus in the world when we happened to get caught with our pants down, leading to necessary retaliation on Afghanistan and Iraq for their murderous action. And that had nothing to do with oil, opium, minerals, precious metals, geo-strategic positioning, and all-around global dominance of the financial-corporate-military-industrial complex. Riiiight. The real aim here is chaos. Chaos will, in the estimation of the puppetmasters behind Assange, create fear which will lead to consent for more fake wars in the name of the Zionists and the neo-cons. The same way we have manufactured consent in South Korea for an abusive trade policy that they rejected initially, before we deceived them by firing a missile underwater that destroyed one of their vessels. An act that we blamed on North Korea. That led to aggressive rumblings by North Korea, which culminated in their military actually firing missiles at South Korea, killing several people. Believe me, this ain’t checkers. It’s chess.

The general public has no idea what’s really going on. They’ve bought the lie that those who ask the really uncomfortable hard-hitting questions of our governments are traitors. As long as we continue to ask the wrong questions, our government can continue denying us the truth. Assange is seen as either a saintly rebel or a reckless would-be terrorist, when he is neither. Nothing more than a stooge. He may actually think that he is a hero. But that’s how these individuals usually think, oftentimes unaware of who is directing them. It’s all a very sophisticated production. Daniel Ellsberg’s sainthood is equally a myth. He was an intelligence operative who successfully changed the public perception of blame and accountability for the Vietnam war debacle from the CIA, with their criminal manipulation of intelligence information and propagation of murderous military action in that region, to the armed forces, who for the most part were just following orders. But the public is mostly too busy watching the spectacle of a daughter of an ex-vice presidential candidate and failed ex-governor dancing for a trinket and mindless bragging rights on prime-time TV. They don’t call it the idiot box for nothing. For more info on the fraud that is Wikileaks and Julian Assange go to:

Or in your case, geopolitics is kaleidoscopic, whirling seven-dimensional chess played by a drunken mob of Shriner clowns in bumper cars.

I know the foot bone connects to the ankle bone, etc. But when you throw every possible bone into a toy box, then pour in a bucket of rubber glue, what comes out just doesn’t look like a plausible animal.

    WRONG!!!!!

This is not what is going to happen. There is a lot of posturing going on right now, but the bargaining chip is not Assange’s freedom, it’s a 1.3 gig file that thousands have on their PC. This is not a CIA test run, false flag, or any other fake, politically motivated hogwash. This is the real deal and people aren’t messing around. IF anything happens to Assange or Wikileaks, the password becomes available and this society as we know it, comes crumbling down.

So either way, we win. Sadly, most people are so disillusioned with America and it’s media apparatus, there is no faith in anything.

The best thing Sweden could do for itself and everyone else is to simply reveal who leaned on them to resuscitate a charge that had already been dropped for being bogus.
The longer they perpetuate this judicial atrocity the worse they prove themselves to be.

Julian Assange is a threat to the criminal Swedish government because Stockholm is the center and headquaters of the Bilderberg group. Washington can do nothing without the help from the Swedish government which is the best in cover ups when it comes to mass murder and robbing a country of its natural resources. What the CIA mainly does is defend US business interests, not security interests. What you don’t know that? Oh, you must be two.

The CIA is mainly involved in covert operations against democratic forces. This is occurring in South America and Asia at the very least. Apparently now it is apparent that the CIA is active in Europe as well, to destroy an organization dedicated to truth and transparency.

North Korea could be dealt with very easily by stopping economic aggression and by stopping the support for South Korea, something that takes up Billions of the tax payer’s money.

Iran has no nuclear weapons capabilities, and will not have said capabilities any time soon if they are seeking them. US claims that they have purchased 19 BM-25 missiles have been totally discredited.

Since it is obvious you believe the propaganda against Iran, I truly believe you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Insinuating that the CIA is justified in doing whatever it wants without being held accountable to anyone is an argument that requires sound evidence and the strongest of justification (seeing as it is a strongly anti-democratic sentiment), something that you nor anyone else for that matter can credibly present.

Just out of curiosity, why did the women have sex without a condom. If this is the charge, and it is stupid for anyone to have unprotected sex with someone why did they? Does not using a condom in Sweden constitute rape? Are the laws that different?

Sounds as if this case better be thoroughly investigated. The reason for this charge at this time of the leaks, is worth the suspicion most of us have. She at least should be looked at for all kinds of reasons.

  • http://twitter.com/freepresss Freepress

Unfortunately, this will not surprise anyone. The free world is watching how the law is set to suit the (US) power so they can do as they please. The US itself had a leak. Wikileaks just published it.

The story about the so called rape hasn’t been picked up by mainstream media. It had been clear that it was never rape and the “charge” is heavily politicized.

USA, the World is watching how you handle your mess; china style.

As I understand it, the woman and Assange had consensual sex, with a condom, several times during the evening. On what I assume was the last time the two had sex, Assange however didn’t use one. The woman then supposedly told him to stop, which he didn’t. That constitutes rape according to Swedish law.

I said earlier – In the late fifties I lived in Finland. At the time Swedish women were seen as predatory when on the Continent and Great Britain and I was told that reason for this was that Swedish men preferred the company of one another to the company of their women and that Swedish women as a consequence had to go abroad to have some degree of satisfaction. I know now this was incorrect Swedish men were most likely scared to death of their women and would do anything to avoid dealing with them.

Ok, so Julian will stay in jail in the UK while his lawyers fight extradition. And ok, Julian will get threatened by British intelligence while in custody. And then maybe drugged and interrogated. And finally perhaps an accident will occur while he is in transport on his way to Sweden. Courts, lawyers, airlines, country borders, and 5 plus years of legal battles and what really happened to Julian will never be discovered. The best thing for Julian to do right now and for anyone who sees value in what he started will be to keep his whereabouts public knowledge 24 hours a day. He must never be without public observation for the entire time his is in custody. Meanwhile, if you have a public facing web server, mirror. this entire ‘rape’ allegation canard is a farce – a very dangerous and damaging but farce nonetheless…

what better way to discredit someone and destroy them publicly than to use a sex crime allegation… the only way to have done so better would have been for it to be a sex crime against a minor but then, that could have been disproved very easily… this way, with two adult women (who just so happened not to know each other BUT showed up at the police station WITH their attorneys AT THE SAME TIME – incredible coincidence, no?) it becomes a very muddy case (what with the ‘liberal media’ attacking Assange and taking up the talking points of The Empire)…

I have serious and I mean major league serious issues with this. Allow me to explain:

“One accuser, Anna Ardin, may have “ties to the US-financed anti-Castro and anti-communist groups,” according to Israel Shamir and Paul Bennett, writing for CounterPunch.

While in Cuba, Ardin worked with the Las damas de blanco (the Ladies in White), a feminist anti-Castro group.

Professor Michael Seltzer pointed out that the group is led by Carlos Alberto Montaner who is reportedly connected to the CIA.”

And there’s my problem. First, it doesn’t take NASA’s chief rocket scientist to realize that this woman is being paid to do this. Who is paying her? Duh huh huh! Who else but the Amerikan government vis-a-vis the CIA? The issue here is that in an attempt for this counter-propaganda pundits, they have stretched the line so utterly thing that they’re now smearing the Ladies in White. As a Cuban exile, as a Cuban citizen and as someone whose father was jailed for 25 years on political charges I protest this bullshit! And bullshit it is! Castro has set out to spread a propaganda campaign to smear these ladies because their loved ones – sons, husbands, brothers, fathers – have been unjustly imprisoned by Castro’s sanguine regime for expressing their views. These women are not paid by anybody, they are not for sale! They are protesting with their hearts, standing behind their loved ones who are prisoners of conscience. I should know, I was there too once! Fuck them all! Fuck Castro! Fuck the bastards who are trying to bring down everyone with their vicious smear campaigns and their Castro ass kissing. The fucker is a tyrant, a murderer. And anybody who has a problem with that can, in addition to kissing my fat Cuban ass, move to Cuba. See after 6 months how much you like and defend that which you don’t fucking know much less understand!

For those of you who don’t know, Castro is the foremost propagandist in the world. He’s also a paranoid schizophrenic of sorts and everything and anything that goes wrong in the country from a draught to a hurricane is the CIA’s fault. Sure, the CIA has meddled in Cuban affairs a great deal, they tried their darnest. But not everything that happens inside of Cuba is the CIA’s fault. The CIA is to Castro what Osama bin Laden/Al Qaeda/Terrorism is to the US. The Castro regime could have never lasted as long as it has, had it not been for the CIA and the blockade. It’s a symbiotic relationship. Everything and anything is blamed on them and the Cuban people conditioned by fear – just like the ones here are conditioned by bullshit – will believe or, at least, pretend to believe it as they don’t have the luxury or tuning to another radio or tv station.

So, question everything, my friends, question everything. When it comes to anything that has to do with Cuba, nothing is what it seems.

  • Anonymous

I said it in the very beginning this was the work and is the work of the CIA. The Swedish Government should be ashamed at allowing the CIA to use their country as a route for transportation of human beings and then covering it up.

And another tidbit I picked up at another website but haven’t been able to verify or document but I’m throwing it out there for y’all to ponder and consider:

Note: the two women accusing Julian Assange of “sexual molestation” (not rape, at least not in their latest version) are active in the Social Democrat Party. They met and talked over their stories before going to the police. They made sure to “ask advice” at the police station, which is a way to avoid prosecution for false allegations.

The case went to the prosecutor on call, Maria Häljebo Kjellstrand, who specializes in sex cases. She used to be specialized in IT crime (another hot and modern-sounding niche) but switched to sex crimes, where it is easier for a female prosecutor without scruples to make a career out of accusing any man for anything. In a feminist country like leftist Sweden, that is easy. Kjellstrand very quickly ordered an arrest of Julian Assange for rape. The arrest order was hurried, the rape charge – for a broken condom in the first case, and for continuing sex without a condom in the other case – was astonishing. Normally a prosecutor would look things over carefully, and DEFINITELY not order an arrest for rape over such a thing. It was obvious that this was politically motivated.

The chief prosecutor Eva Finné later cancelled the arrest order for rape – which is very unusual, but it happens, when the arrest order is hurried and baseless. Another order for Assange’s arrest then went out, for sexual molestation.

Who are the women? The main accuser is Anna Ardin, a Social Democrat politician and radical feminist who has written a seven-step plan on her blog for how to get revenge on someone, including public accusations to destroy his reputation. Her husband works at the Ministry of Justice. (strange how these second- and third-tier members of the Establishment are always married to each other, never to someone who works with actually producing something useful.)

Her lawyer is Claes Borgström, another Social Democrat, who in 2007 started a law firm together with Thomas Bodström, former Minister of Justice in the Social Democrat government before they lost the 2006 election. Their law firm has been involved in many Politically Correct cases – the easiest cases to win and get publicity for, if you are on the media-approved side.

In other words, this “rape” charge (much like Ahmadinejad said Israel should be “wiped off the map,” as the media tell us) is a complete distortion of the truth, aimed at an enemy of the Establishment, at a point where a threat needs to be defused by baseless charges. Who cares if it never leads to anything? Who cares that Julian Assange will definitely never be convicted of “rape”? The point is that every single story about him now, 2010, has the word “rape” in it, that most vile of crimes.

He will be freed. But the immediate threat is defused. And meanwhile he is being harrassed economically, and has to hide. This is how a modern dictatorship works. Not by arrest for what you have said, but by killing a threat by a thousand cuts. The same is done with European political parties that you, dear reader, have never heard of.

Ask yourself this what are the real chances of her killing herself versus the Fear and HAte of the American TERRORIST republican and tea bagger fearing the TRUTH getting out. Now Assange has the information on the International Community and the Supreme Court Appointed War CRIMMINAL bush and the Anti American Terrorist and TRAITOR cheney, yes the American racist Nazi TERRORIST republican has a lot to FEAR and they need this man DEAD or to disappear or have a accident. Give him to the FRENCH and let Justice be served on the low life Anti AMerican TERRORIST known as republicans and tea baggers, the party that brought you 9-11.

Sweden worked with the US and the CIA when the “Rendition – Flights” happened. Planes with prisoners held with no warrants were transported from the middle East to the US for interrogation or waterboarding. The planes landed in Sweden to be refuelled and serviced. Sweden therefore surely is not the country of choice for Assange.

If that’s the case, why were the rape allegations dropped?

Also, if that’s the case, then anyone (attractive) in Sweden who wished ill against anyone else could simply seduce them, have sex with them, say “stop,” and then claim the other party didn’t stop fast enough, no matter how quickly they stopped, correct?

In other words, if that is the law, it’s a law that’s custom-made unscrupulous and malicious prosecutions.

I dreamed something like this would surface the night before it did. Thank you, Mr. Edwards.

As a Canadian, I’m naturally a big hockey fan and have always thought Sweden might be a cool place to visit for a vacation during a World Junior or World Championship tournament, book a room in a 4 star hotel in Stockholm, tour the country, enjoy Swedish hospitality and cuisine and meet some beautiful women.

Well, you can strike that country off my list and, regardless of where I decide to vacation in future, I will not book my flight, accomodation, rental car, etc. with the MasterCard I’ve just informed my bank (Montreal) I will no longer be using, or use PayPal to conduct transactions and I sure as hell won’t be buying any reading material for the flights there and back through Amazon. And I will never be quite as attracted to the prospect of hooking up with a hot Swedish babe now that I know how nasty they might be.

No wonder their hockey players won’t drop the gloves and square off, toe to toe. It’s always a cheap shot, I high stick to the face, a knee-on-knee trip, or some other piece of dirty work performed at the coach’s request.

I haven’t been able to verify any of that info. I left the poster a note asking for back up but he hasn’t responded yet. In the meantime, what I wanted to show is that there is absolutely no connection whatsoever between this shill and the Ladies in White in Cuba. Those ladies are very real and very suffered. Castro is using them as pawns, the way he uses anyone who doesn’t agree with him. Furthermore, this shill seems to be some Comunistik thing which should tell anyone with an ounce of brain that it is a contradiction in what is being said because she a wanna be pseudo Communist and the Ladies in White are against it. See? You need to realize that there are two propaganda campaigns at work here one is from the US and the other one from Castro. You should trust one as much as you do the other.

    LOL!

  • Anonymous

Nope that’s Johnny Warbuck’s–seems to have a somewhat rational left-of-center position on some issues/irrational anti-Castro fixation. I alluded to all this below in my first post here. Personally, I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Cubans are usually portrayed as conservatives but some younger Cubans are supposedly liberal. I haven’t ever interacted with any Cubans so I don’t know. I still don’t know what to make of it. I knew this story would be a real conflict of interest for him. He hates Castro and loves Assange and here’s the CIA right in the middle of both.

The same CIA that his hated Castro blames for all of Cuba’s troubles seems to be in his version of events at the heart of Julius Assange’s troubles. Paradoxically this puts him on the same side as Castro in blaming the CIA for the situation. Yet, he says here that “the CIA has meddled in Cuban affairs a great deal, they tried their darnest [to overthrow Castro?].” A statement which both seems to contradict his claim that Castro blames them without reason for everything while also seeming to be at least somewhat happy for their ineffective efforts. Yet he refers to “Castro’s sanguine regime” which must be meant ironically, in reference to those who would exercise freedom of speech.

In addition, and again paradoxically he seems to hate Democrats. He certainly hates Pelosi and the Democrats in Congress, Maybe his father got involved in the Bay of Pigs or something and he blamed Kennedy and the Democrats for abandoning his father and not invading Cuba, I don’t know. He doesn’t say much about Republicans generally. Hard to believe Castro put someone in jail for twenty-five years for doing absolutely nothing, but it could happen, I guess. Cuba was a complex place, with Castro fearing overthrow for many years so he could have over-reacted and taken unnecessary precautions, which may have meant putting a lot of people in jail for speaking out against the regime or those people might have actually been plotting against him and he had to take action. I wasn’t there I don’t know. But the Bay of Pigs was a real CIA led operation to overthrow Castro, however haphazard and a lot of Cuban’s were involved in that, and if I had been Castro I would have put them in jail too! And if the same thing happened in America, they would all be in jail here as well or dead!

It must be hard for him to see the US government doing the same thing to Julian Assange that Castro did to his father, especially if what happened to his father was simply a result of free speech. Evidently he has no idea how many political prisoners there are in America or how America treats those who exercise their right to free speech.

His claim that “Castro is the foremost propagandist in the world” is extremely hyperbolic. Capitalism has done a much better job of convincing people all over the globe that it is the greatest possible system, while Castro has a few socialist defenders whose numbers and shrink with every passing decade.

I’m trying to get my head around this… It’s not as if women never consent to sex without a condom. It’s next to impossible to show evidence that she actually refused that last time and that he ignored her. Basically this is a she says, he says-case? Unless they have something like a video recording with very high quality video and audio to support their claim… But in general you can’t convict just on unsubstantiated claims, unless Sweden has a “guilty until proven innocent” policy?

Thanks for the link – interesting to learn that in a country, known for its so-called enlightened attitudes towards sexuality, the government has so much power to manage sex between consenting adults to such microscopic degree.

It seems people cannot have sex in Sweden without the intrusive government in bed as well.

  • Anonymous

In practice it would be impossible to take Assange to court in places like Sweden or Denmark. They have both been totally known, practically public “honey trap” countries with succesfull recruitings of KGB spies. Both the CIA, the SIS and Mossad operate in both countries freely. All are protected by the police and the responsible ministries. It also means that in any court in both places Assange´a lawyer, if he wants it, can find witnesses confirming all that in great and interesting detail, if they are just asked. That would be one more news, the really big story!

    Nice categorical dismissal!

I’m just seeking to understand your rather complex political positioning.

Was Castro any worse or even as bad as the right wing dictators that the US government not only supported during their reigns but was also instrumental in installing, like Pinochet, Duarte, Noreiga? Did he increase literacy in Cuba. Did he do anything positive at all? Is he wanted around the world for crimes against humanity? Are there specific instances of mass killings. Can you direct us to any specific mass graves in Cuba?

Are we supposed to “question everything” about Cuba…except for what you say?

    Remember when Ralph Nader
exposed that most of the GM cars were
    unsafe at any speed?

GM sent 6 prostitutes to try to trap Nader.
    They stalked him for months,
offering to have sex with him.
Nader didn’t fall into GM’s trap.

Remember when Israeli nuclear scientist Mordichi Vanunu

    Then he fled to Australia.

Israel sent a top Mosad prostitute to entrap Vanunu.
She had sex with Vanunu, then gave him a drug,
knocked him out, so fascist Israel could kidnap him &
fly him back to prison for 20 years.

When investigating an incident, the first question to ask is the most prevailing one: who benefitted? If you take a very critical look at the “leaks” and at the exact wording of the responses from our government officials, you would be of the mind that something’s clearly rotten here. Our officials are speaking in hyperbole and superlatives that are in stark contrast to the actual information and circumstances. But, they know how docile the American mind is. So, they continue to whip up the frenzy with calls for assassination and arresting Assange for espionage. If Assange is bent on genuinely blowing the lid off our government’s actions, and those of several foreign nations, then why would he exclude 9/11, which is the very basis for the wars were fighting today? Why would he make no mention of British and American protection of the Afghan poppy fields? Why no mention of Halliburton and the Unical pipeline which the Taliban leadership gave us the go-ahead to construct but reneged on just prior to 9/11, after having met with Cheney in Texas? Why no mention of Congressman Norm Minetta’s 9/11 Commission testimony that he was present at the Pentagon when Cheney chided a staffer who entered the room twice on the morning of 9/11 to ask if the “orders still stand” after the towers had already been hit, and radar indicated aircraft was headed to the Pentagon, by saying ” Of course the orders still stand” as evidence of the Bush administration’s complicity, considering what transpired next? And this is all documented with hard evidence. Investigate it yourself. Why no mention of Israel’s attack on the Gaza flotilla? The so-called video of the incident was obviously doctored. The attack occurred at night, yet what was shown in the video was either a daytime staging or a rather hokey attempt to mimic night-vision optics. You never actually see anyone get hit with anything in it. You do see in that video what can amount to nothing more than a staged, managed event. Eyewitness testimony and just the casualties alone indicate a brutal use of force with no evidence of a formidable enemy posing a threat. The “leaks” don’t mention the abuse and degradation that Palestinians face on a daily basis by the Israeli occupiers. No mention of the girls school that was hit with poisonous smoke bombs as girls were demonstrating in protest of the occupiers and in support of Palestine just two weeks ago, which was reported by foreign news sites. Not a peep here. No mention or confirmation of Israel’s assassination of a supposed Arab militant in a Dubai hotel earlier this year. No mention of Israeli fingerprints all over the assination of an Iranian nuclear physicist 1 day before the Haiti earthquake.

The “leaks” supposedly give a more accurate figure regarding the Iraq war casualties, with Assange claiming that our government and military undercut it by 15,000 bringing the number of dead to roughly double that. He says he arrived at this figure by aggregating numbers from unreleased internal memos. The logic behind this is laughable. Why would he rely on our government or military to keep an accurate account? If he truly wished to assess an accurate death toll he could have relied on the Iraqi government itself or on independent aid and human rights organizations such as Amnesty International or the Red Cross whose estimates were in the high hundreds of thousands. The Iraqi government’s figures are as high as 1 million dead Iraqis. The estimates are arrived at by calculating those dead from our ordnance (bombs, missiles, grenades, bullets), which is laced with depleted uranium so that those who don’t die from direct targeting will die from chemical exposure possibly years later. And their children will suffer defects, as well. The accurate account is also drawn from assessing those who die from lack of medicine and access to doctors and hospitals as a result of the destruction. You see, the cumulative human toll is shockingly depraved. So, 30,000 or 1 million? After years of mass slaughter, it’s pretty clear.

Assange actually claims that Bin Laden is alive and directing Al Qaeda operations from Pakistan. This after our own CIA stated just last year that all their evidence indicates that he was dead. Benazir Bhutto mentioned in an interview with David Frost that Bin Laden had been assassinated, and she named the Pakistani intelligence operative who killed him. She herself was killed a few months later. The list of glaring omissions, obvious canards, and red herrings is longer than the Unical pipeline. But, hey, I understand why you and a lot like you are enthralled by the intrigue and mystique of it all. Assange seems so cool to you because he reminds you of the kinds of heroes you grew up being fascinated by. What you fail to realize is that a sizable percentage of your long-exalted heroes were actually anything but. Be they the iconoclasts or the establishment figures. You probably believe Elvis invented rock and roll, and Lincoln believed in racial equality. The “noble” and “heroic” Washington and Jefferson are forgiven or simply excused for the crime of slavery. Why we still celebrate the murderous, rapacious, and poorly skilled Columbus is beyond me. The average American still believes that he landed in what is now North America. We commemorate Pearl Harbor at this time. The truth regarding that incident and our foreknowledge of the impending attack, and subsequent inaction to prevent it are available to all willing to hear it and assess it for the factual info it offers. We as Americans have been dumbed down by propanganda and lies, all to the benefit of the elite that run America and the world. To the point where we can barely recognize a lie from our leaders.

Until at least the majority of us can see a lie such as 9/11 for what it is, then the power structure has no intention of yielding. Until we can see and criticize Israel for its crimes then the power structure will not yield. Until we can see that accusations of anti-semitism in response to critique of Israel are baseless because of the fact that Arabs are Semites as well, then the power structure will not yield. What we will get is a steady stream of actors such as Assange entering the world stage to play their roles, enthrall and/or confuse the masses, then exit quietly or loudly. The elite will take advantage of the chaos and then usher in the latest perfectly crafted disaster and war escapade, all as their coffers fill up while our coffins fill up. We have to stop being complacent. We have to stop planting our flag on comfortable ground, and investigate further. Read “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz to help you unplug from the psychic system of control that envelops this Earth. Open your mind. Sure it’s been shut by years of lies and half-truths about history, science, and society, but it doesn’t have to remain that way. You can evolve. It’s your choice. And your right. If you want to learn why our educational system was designed to miseducate the masses and render us docile automatons that can’t think critically, and will make perfectly functional sheep and cattle for the farms of the elite technocratic puppet masters, read this:

You are absolutely right in your claim. Based on the facts presented by Swedish media I personally don’t think Assange could be convicted. I do however find it resonable for the Swedish police to investigate the accusations, and that includes bringing him in for questioning. I believe a lot in this mess will be sorted out as soon as the police gets a chance to talk to him.

The claim from at least one of the women as that Assange claimed to be using a condom, and didn’t stop when she discovered he wasn’t. You might not believe her story, but if it’s true it quite clearly constitutes rape in Sweden.

I don’t believe her either, but I think the Swedish police is obligated to investigate what actually happened. That includes bringing Assange in for questioning. He could have easily avoided this mess by talking to the police in the first place.

The alternet blog post has several problems, the most egregious is that writer’s attempt to detract from Daniel Ellsberg. According to the author Ellsberg attempted to pass himself off as a hippie when he released the “Pentagon Papers” documents, when Ellsberg was actually a former intelligent officer. I don’t remember Ellsberg ever passing himself off as a hippie, no hippie would have ever been able to get close enough to the nearly 3,000 pages of the “Pentagon Papers” let alone copy them, except someone with insider intelligent officer status. By the writer’s convoluted thinking, no one who gets their hands on any government information should ever be trusted becuase the only people who can get it are in nearly every case government workers. The idea that all the data that Assange received was given to him specifically by the CIA to confuse matters is a little far-fetched. Why would the CIA nee to do all this? It’s not like there is a coordinated anti-war effort in this country or like there is anything resembling any threat to the continuation of business as usual. So what would be the purpose of all this chaos. It seems to me that chaos is only necessary when there is a strong and coordinate effort to bring the country to a particular position, there is nothing like this in America today.

So why go to all this effort to create chaos where none seems necessary. The right in this country were already (and had been as far back as February) widely predicted to win the midterms, in fact, their inability to take the Senate was taken not as a win for the Democrats but as a failure on the part of the Republicans who were thought to be ready to take both the House and the Senate. In addition, I don’t remember one poll that ever showed that the revelations by Wikileaks played any part whatsoever in the midterm results. Especially given the early and consistent claims by the media that the Republicans would take the House and the Senate. I have several times noted that the result of the leaks on Iraq and Afghanistan were for the most part ineffective from an anti-war perspective and that the good old fashioned journalism of the Rolling Stone reporter which resulted in the firing of General McChrystal was more effective. However, even that didn’t institute any real change in the direction of the war in Afghanistan.

And it is a big step from saying that the information given to Wikileaks was ineffective or mostly gossip and not substantial to saying that it was planted by the CIA. That really isn’t how military secrecy works. In the first place the person who released the information probably didn’t have access to the kinds of top secret information that moves between commanders and the top ranks in the Pentagon. Most of what a PFC or a Spec 4 would have access to, even with a secret clearance would be pretty basic stuff, like what we saw. Obviously, these state department documents are more embarrassing if not necessarily more damaging. But just because all the do is confirm what in many cases was already widely known doesn’t mean that they were all planted by the CIA to create Chaos. In fact, where is the chaos? Are people rioting in the streets because Assange has been arreested. The mainstream media has basically turned a blin eye to most of this, and the American public (50% of whom still don’t know the Republicans took back the House in the midterms) is more interested in how Palin’s daughter did on DWS than on what the latest release by Wikileaks contains.

I didn’t go to the second site. I could but I think it would be more of the same. In short, I think the person who released this information, like the person who released the photos at Abu Ghraib, another damaging release which was suspiciously missing from the first article, although it did do some widespread damage to the military and resulted in some chaos within the community and was given far greater coverage by the mainstream media. Although again the long-term effect is hard to calculate.

So while I appreciate a good story as well as the next person and this Wikileaks story certainly has more twists and turns than anyone would have expected even 2 years ago (some have even suggested that Assange get the movie rights now), I can’t say I agree with your claim that this is all some kind of CIA counter espionage exercise. Even the CIA as stupid and ineffective as they have been in so many of their operations usually does something for a reason. When they try to give Fidel Castro an exploding cigar it is to kill him, I don’t see a motive here and I don’t see how what motive has been suggested makes much sense.

It’s not like Obama got into office an decided to change much, in fact his administration has been characterized more by its continuity with American foreign policy than with any great changes. One other difference between the Pentagon Papers and what Assange is doing is that the Pentagon Papers were read into the Congressional Record and Congress was involved to some extent and took notice, I don’t see anyone reading these releases into the Congressional Record nor do I see any Congressional outrage about what the cables and other documents have contained.

All this leads me to my conclusion which is that even though 17 people have like this post, I can’t say the same.

I’m not that in to this setup-theory. If the Americans can make an extradition case against Assange, two things come to mind:
1: Why not ask England? The police there have him in custody.
2: If they have grounds for an extradition the Swedish police could have brought him in at any time when he was still in the country.

I honestly don’t see how the Swedish police bringing him in for questioning would make any difference in the case of an extradition agreement.

  • Anonymous

Actually, one is saying the rubber broke and the other is saying that he didn’t use one. The charges may be fabricated but under Swedish law evidently not using a rubber or not stopping having sex when the rubber breaks is a misdemeanor punishable by about a $700 fine.

    http://www.aolnews.com/world/article/sex-by-surprise-at-heart-of-julian-assange-criminal-probe/19741444

The most amazing thing in all this is that Assange was warned to take specific care to avoid being sexually entrapped like others have been and evidently he didn’t listen to or heed that advise. It’s a shame.

He should fight extradition, plead guilty, pay the fine and not return to Sweden. I can’t see how fighting this trumped up charge helps him and there are hundreds of ways it hurts him. I believe that if he returns to Sweden he will wind up in an American prison.

Assange IS NOT WikiLeaks. For a few months recently, Assange was kinda kept away from the actual operation of WL, because Assange had/has been using it as a platform for his personal glory.

WikiLeaks is a good and worthy project. Assange’s just managed to make himself the public face out of his need for attention & drama, and has burnt a lot of bridges in the Leak community.
The real stories are miles apart from what you’re getting from mainstream media. Assange’s more of a Zuckerberg than a freedom fighter.

Of course charges are routinely pressed based on the accusations of a victim in a case like this where is often no other evidence when charges are pressed.

Please don’t tell me that you think every victim should be discouraged from telling their story because there are no “corroborating witnesses”.

  • Anonymous

A lot of those things and incidents you mention may have been contained in top secret cables to which Manning did not have access. I don’t necessarily think that Assange has done any great service to the country as I have said several times or that so far the release of these documents have had any earth shattering results.

I also know just how problematic Lincoln’s take on race was having read many of his writings. He actually said that if he had thought he could have win the war by freeing the slaves he would have freed them and if he thought he could have won the war by not freeing then he would have not freed them. In other words, his decision to free some of the slaves was not contingent on the slaves but what would help win the war. And the same goes for much of the rest of what you say. But even if one accepts all your claims do they lead to the conclusion that the CIA is responsible for the information that Assange has received. I don’t think so!

I don’t know what happened on 9-11, I probably will never know. I know a person who was there, who worked in the building. She was late to work that day and was still on the street when the first plane hit. She thinks a plane flew into the building. I think a plane flew into the building and then later another plane flew into the other building. Beyond that I don’t know what happened. I don’t think the government is telling truth about it. What little I have read seems to suggest that the buildings wouldn’t have collapsed the way the government has described it.

In my lifetime I have learned that the government lies first and then only tells the truth when they are forced to by an overwhelming amount of evidence. So I not only hardly ever believe them, I expect them to lie. But just because I don’t believe the official story doesn’t mean I think the Jews did it or some other scapegoat of the moment. I am willing to admit I don’t know and probably won’t ever know and that’s OK.

I am at times capable of remaining in uncertainty, mystery and doubt without reaching for fact and reason. I don’t have to know everything and I would never have the time to learn it anyway. Sometimes being an observer of events is enough. Sometimes the mysteries of life are more powerful if they remain mysteries.

“Swedish prosecutors told AOL News last week that Assange was not wanted for rape as has been reported, but for something called ‘sex by surprise’ or ‘unexpected sex.’”

Not accurate. The linked article says that Assange’s lawyer claims Swedish prosecutors told HIM that, not that they told the media that. Very very different. Lawyers are advocates for their clients and not very reliable sources.

Here’s the relevant quote from the linked article:

“Assange’s London attorney, Mark Stephens, told AOL News today that Swedish prosecutors told him that Assange is wanted not for allegations of rape, as previously reported, but for something called “sex by surprise,” which he said involves a fine of 5,000 kronor or about $715.”

Of course, if this turns out to be true, the Interpol alert is beyond scandalous.

I don’t why anyone thinks that legal minutiae are going to protect Julian Assange , when we live in a world where the US goes to war illegally, picks people up off the streets anywhere they like, takes them to another foreign country, keeps them locked up, tortures them, then flies them to Guantanamo Bay, and keeps them locked up for year with no legal redress or representation.

Of leaking wikis and true lies…

Fascinating. One can see the average, linear mind reeling under such a barrage of opposites. Is he for real? Is it a set-up? Are we dupes again? Or might we yet be free because of this brave Ass.
Such brilliant moves, in this grand social engineering experiment, of which we are a part and this is moments before the curtain comes down. While seemingly being pulled aside. Now that is some vicious irony, but let’s leave that aside for the moment.
I can speak for the absolute power of propaganda via direct, prolonged and immersive experience in three distinct cultures.
Those would be India (my Homeland), USA Inc. (the other, new Homeland, so secure too) and Japan, where, through a quick tic-tac-toe via the occu-liberating American forces post 1945, the Tavistock Institute has demonstrated beyond doubt that ancient cultures can be erased, in a twinkling (in the larger scheme of things), by the tools of propaganda and by extension, deep social engineering.
In each of these countries (and countless others like Denmark as a shining example, Brunei another, long list), the oppressed has come to worship and blindly follow the ways and culture of their oppressor. In fact, it went so far that the oppressor nation became the icon of all things great and wonderful in he world, to be emulated, even if in monkey see monkey do fashion, for that would count as progress and the practioner would be seen as progressive.
How masterful. If only they could completely oppress Islamic nations, we would see the self-same effect and in some bizarre Twitter world, that is already happening. But Islam, a religion in itself masterful at in-doctrination, has proven to be a tough nut.
Back on topic though, propaganda works.

    for the rest…

Does anybody here know who Las damas de blanco are? They are the wives and relatives of about 70 dissidents arrested in Cuba who are serving up to twenty eight years for crimes such as collaborating with foerign media. To try to discredit these people just because a convicted murderer supports them is the same as trying to say that student movements in the 60s were evil because of the support they got from pseudo terrorist groups or soviet or chinese agents. What do you think would happen to a Assange after releasing Cuban secret files if he were caught in Cuba or Venezuela? Assange is obviously being unjustly handled, but stay in perspective. If there is one thing that Wikilieaks has finally made clear is that the Almighty CIA doesn’t know half as much as everybody thought they knew and even with that knowledge, they can’t do much to change anything. These two women are some fame crazed Lewinskys who were most probably approached by the CIA and bought, bu to say they’re fierce CIA collaborators seems to me a bit far fetched.

Syed: Nasser didn’t get assassinated. Sadat was killed by fundamentalist Muslims, not the CIA. Sadat himself made a diplomatic peace deal with Israel. Why would the CIA kill him?

While the US did use Saddam to counterbalance Iran (so both Iraq and Iran would get each other), the US truly turned on Saddam after he invaded Kuwait and tried to monopolize the oil trade. The US openly defied Saddam afterwards.

And the others. Why do you think that the CIA contributed to their deaths?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_O3KXX2FXNSSP2A3PJZVLWCGNIU Vintom Lebowski

Even if the indictment turns out to be a bogus ruse to get Assange captured, it seems like the ends do justify the means.

In the leaking of diplomatic cables, Assange is not promoting “freedom of speech” – he is orchestrating leakings of various documents from secret channels just to harrass the USA. These documents are not revealing earthshattering secrets that will lead to government officials resigning. They seem like ways just to stick it to the big man.

If Assange had instead focused on leaking Scientology documents or focused on only leaking USA government documents that truly show absolute corruption (think Watergate papers), THEN he would be respected

In this case he played with fire and got burned. If a man is going to mess up deliberately, justifiably secret channels like diplomatic cables, he deserves to be indicted for false charges as a ruse to get him to face real charges. If he is going to violate the sacred channel of diplomatic cables, he deserves to have false indictments filed against him.

Frankly, Vintom, you have your head up your ass. I wonder what gives you the right to set the benchmarks about what is and what is not free speech, and just in case you can’t answer that, I will tell you that the Pentagon Papers, which the Supreme Court ultimately determined protected speech in something like 1972, is an identical instance to these here Wikileaks cables. So, unless you like John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Scalia or Thomas, then you are not only urging a change in fundamental US law you are also what could be characterized as against free speech.

In the meantime, Mr. Assange awaits his court appearance while in police custody for something called “sex by surprise” when one of his accusers allegedly surprised by sex bought breakfast after being surprised.

This is a really really digusting and shameful article that should be posted on Fox News. The headline is totally overblown. The Ladies in White are a well respected dissident group who are the mothers of political prisoners. Castro isn’t perfect. Critizing Castro doesn’t make someone a CIA informant, or mean they have ties to the CIA.

Writing an article on “how to get back at your boyfriend” and being a gender equity official doesn’t mean that you hate all men and thus run around accusing everyone of sexual assault.

Julian Assange being a hero on the left doesn’t mean he is incapable of sexual violence against women.

In the absence of any real evidence, I would expect a site like the raw story not to resort to Fox News style “journalism” in order to protect their golden boy.

I’m really, really disappointed by this article and the comments. I expected better from the left.

They sure don’t have to break into his doctors office like Daniel Ellsberg. By the way, what did they do to Daniel Ellsberg? He isn’t in jail. He is on Democracy Now talking about Julian Assange and truth that has been either suppressed or perverted by the US power structure ie US oil/bank corporations/The Pentagon/Obama in that order. Obama can’t control the pentagon and its PR machine that is bigger than than Obama’s. That is why Obama is now a war criminal as well as Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and II. It doesn’t really matter what she/he said, because there’ll be no evidence like you say, but what it is, is a political conspiracy to bring Ossange into Sweden so that he can be grabbed and extradited to the US on espionage charges without evidence. Since the US has no rule of law anymore, there’ll be a kangaroo court and he’ll be sent to Guantanamo or worse. I hope that doesn’t happen, but the US government is so evil that I fear that is what will happen. Then the real agenda–censorship of the internet–will be implemented in our shiny new dictatorship with gulags in every state.

Instantly assuming that women accusing someone of sexual assault are lying or doing it for political purposes supports rape culture, not a more open world. This smear campaign is sick

  • Anonymous

Nope. What they are charging Assange with is that he agreed to use a condom with one women, and then entered her without one. The second accusation is that the condom broke, the woman told Assange to stop and he didn’t. If a women WITHDRAWS her consent, then its sexual assault. It doesn’t matter at what stage of sex consent is withdrawn.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6B669H20101207

This article also states that the women ONLY went to the police when Assange ignored their requests for him to take an STD test.

This guy could have cured cancer and found a way to put both Bush and Cheney in jail, and it still wouldn’t be ok to treat women like this.

For everyone in the comments section who is saying that they support a more free and open world, how come you instantly dismiss these claims? Thats supporting rape culture and patriachy, not exactly great things

There are actual political discussions of a new law that in order to prevent rape allegations after one night stands, both parties have to sign a sort of contract stating that they both agree to the act. In Assange’s case, that would have helped, but a country where politicians are considering measures such as these, is beyond the point of no return. Franz Kafka would have gotten a lot of inspiration from the Swedish legal system…

Aaaah…just the person we needed around here. A Swede (just kidding!) who can shed some light on this debacle. Can you provide us with a link that shows those efforts? It truly is reprehensible what your country is doing but we all know why, the leaked cables showed it. Now, signing a “contract” before/after having had sex is the most preposterous thing I’ve ever heard…well, of course, not half as ridiculous as the allegations against Assange but you know what I mean. Essentially, all the political correctness bullshit has got us down to having to sign a contract in order to get laid. Beautiful! The more we advance, the more backward we go.

Don’t you get it? It doesn’t matter what anyone said, because all this is, is a ploy/conspiracy to get his physical person in to Sweden whence he can be extradited to the US on espionage charges. I don’t believe he can be extradited from the UK. I find it shocking that Sweden has succumbed to the bullying threats of the US, because we remember when Sweden refused to cave in to Israel’s bullying threats when its newspaper Aftonbladet exposed Israel’s practice of murdering Palestinians so that their corpses could be plundered for the harvestation of body organs. The only countries that are not intimidated by the US are Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Iran (Iran remembers the US overthrowing its democratic government in 1953 so it has good cause to be wary).

I’m glad to be of service.

I live in Japan right now, and my wife is Japanese. I love this country mostly because of it’s lack of political correctness. All western countries seem to be infested with it. We will go back to Sweden in 3 weeks and try to build a future there. If it doesn’t work, we can always move here. That feels good. The Sweden of today is different from the Sweden that I grew up in during the 80ies…

Anyway, Here is a link to a PDF version of the suggested new law concerning rape and sexual assault: http://www.sweden.gov.se/content/1/c6/15/45/15/e59efb2d.pdf

There is a summary in English. It is not the most exciting read, but the suggested change of focus from strictly “classical” interpretation of rape to a view of “sexual consent”, will in fact lead to just the absurd conclusion that adult single people who want to have sex with each other have to sign a contract in order to prevent accusations of rape. It is not stated clearly, but as the Assange case shows, rape charges can be thrown at people without much true basis.

I’ve joined a Facebook group (in Swedish) whose aim is to stop the suggested law. http://sv-se.facebook.com/#!/home.php?sk=group_171468909549248&ap=1

I have not read all of the PDF, but when looking through the English summary, I saw this:
“Through the offence of sexual abuse, introduced by a new Section
3, it is criminalised to carry out a sexual act with a person
without the permission of the person.”

“…it is criminalised to carry out a sexual act with a person without the permission of the person”.

How can you prove that someone has given you permission to have sex with them? The most obvious answer would be that you both sign a contract stating that you give each other “permission” to be subjected to sexual acts.

    Welcome to absurdistan!

“why would he exclude 9/11, which is the very basis for the wars were fighting today?”

An article I read yesterday showed that Israel BRIBED Assange not to leak anything that even MENTIONED Israel. You can extrapolate from that that Israel ‘s role on 9/11 has to be hidden at all costs. The fact that Assange accepted the bribe is shocking because it shows how hypocritical he is, and the agenda is three fold: (1) To continue to demonise Iran as per Israel’s hysteria about attacking and owning it; (2) To hide Israel’s role in anything; (3) To implement censorship of the internet. So who benefits? It is in Israel’s favor that the internet is censored because it can continue waging illegal wars and events like 9.11 with impunity. Assange has no credibility and all this shows is that Wikileaks=Israel.

It’s kinda strange how the US government doesn’t really even care if the world sees.. even more clearly than the cables leaked… how slippery they are. And as for these women, geez.. they kinda remind me of Oksana. (Mel Gibson’s treacherous trouble-girl.) Only I am kinda thinking these girls will get paid more. Unbelievable.

    Sacred?

That’s good. Okay, so Assange deserves “injustice” because he “sinned” against the secret inner circle? Please stop and think before you write. You can’t say “the ends justify the means” if someone else does something where the “ends justify the means”, don’t you get it? I’m encouraging you to take a higher moral ground.

*****ASANGE’S ACCUSER – ANNE ARDIN – FLEE”S SWEDEN TO WEST BANK IN PALESTINE CHRISTIAN OUTREACH CAMP TO HIDE!****

CHANGED IDENTITY TO: MISS BERNARDIN TO HIDE FROM REPORTERS.

The move comes amid a growing campaign by leading Western feminists to question the investigation, and renewed confusion as to whether Sweden has actually issued charges against Assange.

Naomi Klein, Naomi Wolf, and the European group Women Against Rape, have all made statements questioning the nature and purpose of the prosecution.

Ardin, who also goes by the name Bernardin, has moved to the West Bank in the Palestinian Territories, as part of a Christian outreach group, aimed at bringing reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis. She has moved to the small town of Yanoun, which sits close to Israel’s security/sequestration wall.

Yanoun is constantly besieged by fundamentalist Jewish settlers, and international groups have frequently stationed themselves there.

i sort of agree with you, only… the flood of speculative media the other way is so overwhelming i think a few articles like this are almost needed to balance the hysteria (even if they are just as wild and speculative as the other ‘kill the terrorist’ guilty before innocent posts) . so many conclusions are being jumped to by everyone… if political pressure isnt involved somewhere im a monkeys uncle. the thing that smells to me is the way the women went into the police station ‘for advice’ knowing that this would automatically start a rape charge, but also knowing that this way of seeking advice means they cant be held accountable afterwards for false accusations. its quite clear they know swedish law well in regards to women and sexual integrity, as we can see from the blog posts about legal revenge and the previous allegations she brought against another man previously. i just think the swedish authorities have made a huge cock up in defaming julian through the mass media before they even had a case of any kind. and the brazen way with which they refute theyve made any kind of mistake is alarming when you think of the consequences for julian if he has to stand trial in their country. if the absence of understanding that they have defamed julian before a charge has been brought, and used ridiculously heavy handed tactics never before seen for a journalist printing something (interpol) then one worries about how logic will pervade a media circus trial.

    Bravo! Well said.
The proof that Assange is in the pockets of the Mossad is that he accepted a money BRIBE from Israel and promised that in return for all that money (?2 billion dollars say??) he would not publish anything that “embarrasses” Israel (e.g. like planting nanothermite in the WTC for example??). The joke is on the American taxpayer because the bribe was paid with his/her money.

It’s not that the “secret inner circle” is some kind of God that must be obeyed. It is that Assange is leaking for the sake of leaking, rather than giving real information on this so-called “secret inner circle” that would result in people resigning (think of Nixon resigning, the very result of those Pentagon papers)

Unless you have a good reason to leak diplomatic documents, you DON’T leak diplomatic documents.
