The government is creating a vast domestic spying network to collect information about Americans in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks and subsequent terror plots, The Washington Post‘s Dana Priest and William Arkin reported Monday.

The government is using for this purpose the FBI, local police, state homeland security offices and military criminal investigators, the daily added.

The system collects, stores and analyzes information about thousands of US citizens and residents, many of whom have not been accused of any wrongdoing, the report noted.

Among other things, the investigative series reveals:

* Technologies and techniques honed for use on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan have migrated into the hands of law enforcement agencies in America.

* The FBI is building a database with the names and certain personal information, such as employment history, of thousands of U.S. citizens and residents whom a local police officer or a fellow citizen believed to be acting suspiciously. It is accessible to an increasing number of local law enforcement and military criminal investigators, increasing concerns that it could somehow end up in the public domain.

* Seeking to learn more about Islam and terrorism, some law enforcement agencies have hired as trainers self-described experts whose extremist views on Islam and terrorism are considered inaccurate and counterproductive by the FBI and U.S. intelligence agencies.

* The Department of Homeland Security sends its state and local partners intelligence reports with little meaningful guidance, and state reports have sometimes inappropriately reported on lawful meetings.

The government’s goal is to have every state and local law enforcement agency in the country feed information to Washington to buttress the work of the FBI, noted the paper, which has conducted its own investigation of the matter.

According to the report, the network includes 4,058 federal, state and local organizations, each with its own counter-terrorism responsibilities and jurisdictions.

At least 935 of these organizations have been created since the 2001 attacks, The Post said.

The probe has revealed that technologies and techniques developed for use on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan have migrated into the hands of law enforcement agencies in the United States, the paper pointed out.

In addition, the FBI is building a database with the names and personal information of thousands of US citizens and residents, the report said.

The database is accessible to an increasing number of local law enforcement and military criminal investigators, the report noted.

In a bid to counter what is seen as a threat from radical Islam, some law enforcement agencies have hired as trainers people whose extremist views on Islam and terrorism are considered inaccurate and counterproductive by US intelligence agencies, the paper pointed out.

The cost of the network is difficult to measure, the paper said. But the Department of Homeland Security has given 31 billion dollars in grants since 2003 to state and local governments for homeland security and to improve their ability to find and protect against terrorists, The Post said.

Only this year, it gave 3.8 billion dollars to local law enforcement agencies.

Also in the news today, it was revealed that the sky is blue! No big surprise here. The Bush “administration” and the NSA started illegally spying on Americans through the telecoms right after they seized power in January 2001 (code-named “Pioneer Groundbreaker”), so the excuse that the spying was initiated only “after” 911 to fight the so-called “war on toothpaste” holds absolutely no water — like everything else, it is a LIE.

The real enemy that the criminal corrupt United States government is fighting against —

    are its own citizens.

This article is misleading and disingenuous. There is no “snooping.”

“The government is using for this purpose the FBI, local police, state homeland security offices and military criminal investigators, the daily added.”

Yes becasue they are SHARING information. This is a GOOD thing. Maybe if we had this on 9/11 the local police and the FBI and the flight instructors might have identified the 9/11 terrorists and they could not have used them as stooges for 9/11.

Sharing information is not the erosion of rights, its how they got the information they share. If they got it constitutionally and on people who were real threats Im for sharingit with anyone who needs to know, but not on “grannies for peace” or through “sneak and peek”s.

Yet another move towards an Orwellian Nightmare.

  • Anonymous

Well, if you were to set the stage to attack your own country, you’d have to have all of your pieces in place, right? That’s the thing that gets me about 9-11 deniers, they always say “TOO MANY PEOPLE WOULD KNOW AND SOMEONE WOULD SPILL THE SECRET”. I always follw that statement with “who exactly are you going to tell?” The media? CONTROLLED. Law enforcement? CONTROLLED. Your phones? TAPPED AND MONITORED. It’s sickening if you really think about it.

  • Johnny Warbucks

You guys have to stop these “revelations,” seriously. One of these days you’re even gonna reveal to me that ~gasp~ the President of the United States is black and I truly don’t know how I may react to that one.

  • Johnny Warbucks

Sounds like you should be living in China. They too, love to SHARE information and think of it as a GOOD thing. And something tells me that the they knew about 9/11 well in advance.

Sounds like you wondered in here by mistake. Your “views” belong on FAUX Nation. Many there share the same “ideas” with you.

What you call “sharing information” is known in non-FAUX circles as a “police state” but sounds like you wouldn’t be able to tell that sorta thing. As for the people who are “real threats” who exactly decide who a “real threat” is and how? Who qualifies as a “real threat” and on what grounds/basis?

This is a fantastic system to overload the government with an enormous amount of completely useless information. Not the first time the Overlords have put together spy networks against innocent Americans in the last 40 years. It is insane to treat the entire population as “suspects” for uncommitted crime. Entirely too Orwell for my taste, undoubtably illegal under what may be left of the Constitution (thank you GWB for declaring this document “nothing but a damned piece of paper”, thus revealing gov’t official disdain for operating within the confines of law ). I for one, am very tired of my government, declaring that it is “protecting” me and my loved ones by spying on the lives of innocents with neither warrant or cause. The vast accumulation of worthless information will do nothing for security of the country, will burden agencies with unusable data through which they have to sift. In order to produce any measurable amount of ” national security”, there needs to be “cause”, not draconian groping into the personal and private lives of the innocent in order to find a few criminals. Meanwhile, opinions and thoughts are not, repeat NOT criminal acts.

The parallel analogy is in the Financial Markets

When the balance of positions swings then the Markets turn against those positions

When snooped information produces a collective opinion then the Media appear with a controlled response – just another very timely operation

and given all of this, we cannot control our borders, we cannot stay out of wars that cause people to protest and get their names into databases, we allow banks and financial institutions to rob people blind to their retirements and yet it’s the people’s names that go into databases.

My girlfriend made the unfortunate choice of having a bottle of hand cream that’s larger than allowed on an airplane, her drivers license number and her name were taken by TSA no doubt to be put in a database. The citizens of the United States must indeed be a tremendous threat to the government

It’s not being “created”, they aren’t “creating” it, it’s already here and in effect. People who support Wikileaks are probably already beginning to notice the white van sitting in front of their house or the utility workers who happen to work on something in direct view of their house. Soon they’ll figure out they are being shadowed and their communications monitored, phones tapped.

Thats right. All who posted about how they support Julian Assange, all who donated money, all who went to the site, are now on a list and being investigated. That is how screwed up the country is.

And it’s only a matter of time before Wikileaks or some other site leaks the names on these lists.

This work is done in “Fu$ion Centers”. They have developed techniques that listen for “keywords” on/in every damn electronic communication, every damn day. Once flagged, then it gets eyeballed by a person. So it’s all sneek n peek. The idea of sharing info would be good if it was actionable stuff but it’s mostly crapola. Crapola collected without a warrant.
Now if we could get the “intelligence” organizations unified, like 1 agency for domestic and 1 agency for foreign, then we would be progressing.

  • Anonymous

    This is shocking.

    Just kidding.

Anyway, isn’t it funny how a government becomes so afraid of its citizens–the very people for which it exists, and by whom it operates–that it begins to mistrust them and institute amoral policies that will simply exacerbate that lack of trust? It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy of doom and stupidity.

This is why it is important to WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT, as I’ve been telling all you numbnuts for a long time now. Your Consent is their power. It is the only thing that keeps them in the position to intimidate and haunt you with their idiocy. As soon as you decide that you want to delegitimate them, it is done. You simply refuse to recognize Them as authority–your consent is withdrawn–and they cease to have power over you. Sure, they can still try to convince you with violence, but it is the coward who remits.

People, you have the Power. You lend your Power to the government when you Consent to their authority. It is a revocable loan. As soon as you decide that you no longer Consent, that power instantly returns to you.

This government has ONLY the power than you lend it. Stop it!

    WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT

HAHAHA your understanding of our constitutional rights is about as rich as that porno picture you have displayed. It does not matter wether or not you like who they are getting it from, it is HOW they are getting it… and that is unconstitutionally without warrants. First they came for that group and you said nothing, then they came for the other group and you said nothing, by the time they came for you there was no one left to speak up for you. Wake up man, we are not threatened by terrorists in this country. We have extremely porous borders that any terrorist could bypass. If they are worried about our security why don’t they protect our borders? You can’t answer this because this has nothing to do with protecting us. It has to do with protecting them and their power that is all.

But face it guys there are people who keep screaming 9/11, (although they turned their backs to the rescuers) and while these people are small in numbers, they have big loud mouths.

Your post suggests youth and inexperience. Our government was told of the impending attack, the president ignored it. Now, then. That would make all the airport security look like, well, a chance to work the bugs out of the system. It would look like incompetence because securing the airplanes is just a flimsy excuse. Some of those airports really *would* make excellent processing centers if you think about it, especially those build during the Cold War, when most public and quasi-public buildings were designed to serve multiple purposes, such as makeshift radiation & riot shelters…or the machines & what not could easily be moved, too. I’m thinking they’re saving the data from the scans and in actuality they really *do* work quite good, they just appear to be a joke.

But that would appear paranoid and the far simpler explanation would be greed and collusion between Corporate Citizens and individuals in the Government with the true purpose simply being profit & or egomaniacal control….

What?! It doesnt matter if he worked or not! Besides, you can bet he barely worked when he was in DC. No, he had plenty of info – at least his handlers did – and some in the FBI were trying to do their jobs and now they’re called “whistleblowers”, a term that has become subtly stigmatized by the mainstream media. Creeping fascism has no tolerance for independently minded people.

That is a quaint notion, but you are forgetting one very important aspect of a government such as ours. It answers to two sets of citizens, and unfortunately those two types of citizens are in a battle for survival. Also, the Corporate Citizens have far greater power than do the human individuals. Sadly, we’ve been slowly losing our ability to regain control of the government for the last 150 years or so, & at this point it almost has to run it’s course. The Corporate Citizens will continue to subjugate the human ones (and gobble each other) until the humans are just barely able to sustain the Corporate ones. Think of the classic balance between predator and prey. We are the prey.

Yes but they will be airborne. More like mosquitos, really. I’d also prepare for the equivalent of the retinal scanners that track location under the guise of personalized advertising, cause it’s mostly already here via purchase tracking, cell phone tracking, GPS and auto toll tags…

I’d prepare for a return to fiefdom. It won’t look like it did 100′s of years ago, but it will return.

While I agree that the pieces have been put in place over more than a decade (remember Predator? Not the movie, the NSF data collection hubs at AT&T & their successor. That was quite a while ago). Think of it this way; by the time we find out about some ‘new’ super spy plane, it’s obsolete and no longer needs to be kept secret.

But here’s where I think we differ; Wikileaks may or may not be legit. I find it odd the way things have transpired & the usefulness of the leaks thus far to entities larger than just a the government of a single culture or nation. I also find it interesting that if it all ends now, without the BofA info getting released, the whole thing would serve as a warning to any who might consider following in Assange’s footsteps. Then again maybe the BofA info is just being withheld until Congress can pass a law stating that the Corporate Citizens holding nothing but a payment stream can backfill deed ownership. Wouldn’t surprise me either way events transpire at this point.

Anyway, I highly doubt your theory about the white vans, it’s kinda like the Sears vans that used to travel around with a mobile wifi base but no ID. I think it’s far more likely that yes, everyone is being tracked. And yes, they are looking for threats. But so long as you keep your head low and don’t stand out they simply see you as another harmless member of a large harmless (to them) fringe group that’s easily manipulated and there are many of those that they track. In fact I’d guess that their stats show that it’s a bell curve, with the bulk being mindless cows and one std dev either way being the fringe groups. They are after the 2nd std dev., anyone that actually presents a threat to them staying in power, not to the nation as a whole or the nation as we romantically view it.

Wow, you are all reactionary idiots!

There’s not alot of sentences there, I find it pretty amazing you were still able to miss a couple. What’s your reading comprehension levels? like 10%.

For those of you calling me a draconian unconstitutional fascist, you missed this sentence didnt you?:

“Sharing information is not the erosion of rights, its how they got the information they share. If they got it constitutionally and on people who were real threats Im for sharingit with anyone who needs to know, but not on “grannies for peace” or through “sneak and peek”s.”

For those of you who think I accept the “official version” of 9/11 I’m assuming you stopped reading before this part:

“and they could not have used them as stooges for 9/11.”

Try actually reading the post before going off on some reactionary hissy fit when it turns out I was probably agreeing with you anyway if you took the time to cognate a little.

Yes, because anyone who doubts that the government is acting in the best interest of it’s Human Citizens must be crazy. I’d be amazed if they didnt’ actually start pushing that meme in a viral fashion. That said, yes, the comment was a bit, “out there”. So, evaluate it and either refute or support it, but I think that dissent against timid, conforming group think is about as American as it once was. B’sides, the theories that are truly nuts make for good noise to hide things in.

Authority seeks to protect the public from perpetrators. It does this through surveillance to find enough information to allow the removal of the perpetrator.

Inversely, when perpetrators exist within the authority itself, the authority structure is well integrated in protecting itself from whistle-blowers using the same tactics of surveillance to find enough information to use against the whistle-blower to deactivate the threat of exposure about corruption within the authority. Eliminating whistle-blowers ranges from psychological intimidation to unethical tactics or illegal tactics to destroy the credibility, financial resources, relationships, health, etc of the targeted whistle-blower. Surveillance is the an essential tool used by corrupt authority to accomplish this.

Consider reading up on the differences between Corporate Citizens and Human Citizens, I think it would clarify what you are seeing quite a bit. This is nothing new, think Railroad Barons…it’s just reached a threshold where some people are beginning to notice it again. Much was hidden for five or six decades behind the binary Cold War. Once that tool fell apart, they found they could fall back on a small component of it, Religion, as a way to control and divide. Like the Cold War, Dem vs Repub has run it’s course, however. I believe the old saying was, “Follow the money”, and it still holds true, more than ever. Expect more religious extremism both within and outside our government and borders, it’s a great tool for manipulation of the masses. Just don’t forget that it’s the Corporations that are running the show, and their prey is us.

The “white vans” are called ZBV’s. The mainstream media has deliberately blacked out over it because it’s not obsolete and is still “secret” technology. The van’s have X-Ray and Infrared capabilities. They can see through houses, and listen to conversations. These are high tech surveillance vans.

Research everything I say to find even one factual error with regard to technological surveillance and respond. The “you’re crazy” or “you need help” is the typical response of the trained operative who wants to shut an individual up or keep people from taking him or her seriously, very similar to the rape charge tactic because a rapist is dishonorable so anything else he says has to be just as dishonorable and must be disregarded.

    Prove that I’m crazy.

Who do you think are in those secret prisons? Why don’t you find out and tell me?

And when you find out whether or not any American citizens ended up in them then finally you’ll say to yourself that you are crazy and refuse to believe your own eyes. I guess you won’t believe it until you are cuffed and being dragged kicking and screaming to those camps they built for you.

    Two observations:

First, you are underestimating the power of database theory and automation. It’s no more work to filter out ‘suspicious’ data trends associated with individual human citizens in a massive population than it is to pull those with the first name of, say, ‘Osama’, ‘Adolfus’ or ‘George Herbert’. Even if that last one was entered wrong, it’s easy to compensate and still catch it. The trick is in fine tuning the algorithms, but that can be incremental and they’ve had decades. Doncha wonder what all those supercomputers are used for 90% of the time, with so little funding actually going to scientific exploration?

Second, your definition of “National Security” is exactly what they’ve taught you to think it should be. But not what it actually is anymore. We are mere second class Citizens; America is a Nation, but one of Corporate interests now. We human citizens are both a food source and an impedence to those in power. Historically we’ve held the upper hand but just barely. That time has come to an end and we have still not reached the new balance. They won’t stop until their existence is threatened. Just like a population of predators. Of course, sometimes the balance swings too far and both populations crash…and sometimes they don’t recover.

Fortunately for them, Corporations are International.

Or maybe the private prison corporations just want to reinstitutionize slavery.

Who is going to stop them? It’s profitable to put the unemployed in prison camps no matter what the effect on society. It’s a way to get people to work for free. And since anybody can be made into a criminal all they have to do is make everything poor people tend to do illegal and fill up the FEMA camps or FEMA trailers, whatever they called them during hurricane Katrina…

Why would they do it? To make shareholders of the private prison and military rich. Think Wackenhut, Think Blackwater. Don’t know who they are? Look it up and fact check my post.

9/11 would not have worked on the entire country had the politicians protected and adhered by the constitution. All osama bin laden did was start the first domino. The elected politicos took it from there. We will continue to deteriorate as a country as long as the people refuse to accept personal risk and responsibility. The government is only doing what the people want. The majority don’t care who is in charge or if anyone besides themselves have a job. As long as that is the case things will only get worse.

Wackenhut. Bank of America. Blackwater. Profit from slavery. Profit from debt which produces slavery. Profit from protecting the banks that profit from the debt that produces the slavery.

The goal is the total and complete enslavement of the US population and with it the world population. The US is the last population on earth which is semi free. If they enslave the US population they enslave the world using the US military.

C’mon, this has NOTHING to do with terrorism; it has EVERYTHING to do with tightening the noose of authoritarian control over Americans. Obama vowed to reverse this crap but instead has strengthened spying on Americans.

IMHO we’re spending Trillions and putting 1,000′s of lives at risk on spying and so-called “defense” with nothing to show for it. Why the hell are we even in Afghanistan?

Well I agree with you somewhat, if the terror threat were serious they would try to close the borders but there is one thing you are missing. The fact that it is easier to protect select individuals than it is to protect the citizens of this country. In the belief that we are expendable and the politicians are not the security money is being spent protecting them.

No, Travis, yelling “FIRE” in a crowded movie house is not protected, and what you do there is disgusting. I’m not trying to silence you, I’m trying to make you aware that sort of slander is infantile and deflates your point in the eyes of any other than those who would agree with you, and they’re all hunkered down in a bunker cleaning their guns waiting for the race war to kick off. And yes, by the way, comparing the POTUS to a murderous Saudi is truly egregious conflation, and I’d say bordering on traitorous.

You see, what you do there is not to criticize the office, but to criticize the man. You’re saying that Barack Obama is the same as Osama bin Laden.

    That is a false analogy.

    That is slander.

That is fear mongering, you ignorant, frightened shitbag.

And yeah, maybe for you, we should have a look at the Sedition Act since you hate this country and the freedom that you so recklessly abuse.

Some of those things I do support, yes, others I do not, but neither do I see the logic or the capacity to just pull out of these situations, and if we’d let the banks and the auto industry (both loans which have now been paid pack, by the way) collapse, then that would have destroyed the world economy for years. You think it’s bad now, Travis, I’d love to see the look on your face if all of that stuff had been allowed to happen.

If you believe that, then research Barry Jennings information and publish it for all the rest of us to see. Although I believe you in general, Barry’s case is still a mystery after hiring private investigators. How did he die? Where was his funeral? Where is he buried? What hospital was he in? What was his illness? Was he murdered?

Barry Jennings was an inconvenient witness to the attacks on 9/11/01. He witnessed explosions in building 7 coming from below the 8th floor.

Ha! That’s the type of thing I think every-time I hear about some new draconian measure “in response to 9/11″ or have to wait in a long security line at an airport. Many government whistleblowers have tried to get out there what they know, as you probably know. Unfortunately not the media, the 9/11 Commission nor Wikileaks is interested.

The next generation processors using quantum physics will be much, much, much, more powerful. Big brother is here in America, right now.

It won’t be long until Americans will spy on each other and report them to the FBI or other authorities. There will be cases when some citizen will make false accusations to get even with a neighbor. Is this our so-called “freedom”? I have seen it happen in Germany in the 1930ties, and it happened again in East Germany after WW II, when the entire country was one big spy network.
Is that what is in store for us?
My country I weep for thee.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano has said that in the future there will be increased internet monitoring of US citizens in response to the dangers of terrorism.
In a speech to the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy Napolitano said that recent domestic terrorism cases had shown that the internet was used to gather information for attacks. As a result the US was beefing up its monitoring capabilities and there would be a trade-off with individual’s privacy.
“The First Amendment protects radical opinions, but we need the legal tools to do things like monitor the recruitment of terrorists via the Internet,” Napolitano said, according to Associated Press.http://www.puppetgov.com/2010/06/21/napolitano-advocates-government-surveillance-of-internet-to-fight-domestic-terrorism/

Well, you’re right, there IS NO right wing kindness. And so they don’t deserve any in return. Anyone who would cut off 9-11 responders from getting any health care after their heroism or not continue unemployment for those in need have shown they have NO compassion, no mercy, no caring for anyone but themselves and their top 2% buddies. They don’t NEED anything from me, and I won’t offer anything.

And I doubt that the Lawd, should there actually be one, wont mind if I don’t feed the greed of those who already have too much. If I do get struck down for it, then I don’t want anything to do with that deity anyway. I prefer one that gives a damn about HUMANS, not money.

And just to really piss off those who would be: HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! SEASON’S GREETINGS. (I would say merry Xmas, but there is historical reasons for that one. The first letter of the word for Christ was an X, which is where the Xmas came from. It’s not an anti Christ anything, it was an abbreviation in use by the early Christians who didn’t want to be found out). Anywho, Happy Hannakuh, Kickin’ Kwanzaa, slammin’ Solstice, Fearsome Festivus, and a seriously wonderful whatever you happen to celebrate at this most miserable time of year.

I hate it, myself, it’s cold, it’s dark, it snows and you have to drive on it, and on top of that, people are falsely cheery for a freaking MONTH. This is the second Christmas since my Becky died, and she was my reason for giving a damn about Christmas at all. After 18 1/2 years together, I don’t have much reason for looking positively on this time of year. So everybody out there, have an extra great one for me, okay? Make up for me, and I’ll appreciate it.

    Ho fucking ho!

This could easily describe the old Soviet Union. The statists in federal government have turned the U.S. into a police state, all under the pretext of national security and keeping us safe. The ones America really needs to be protected from are be found in the U.S. federal government.

I wonder what happens when those complicit in government cover-ups wake up to the fact that they embrace misguided loyalties? Catch 22, too late! 9/11 has triggered a kind of dark age where government chases phantom terrorists of its own creation, apparently convinced that the public is out to get them. Who suffers from neurotic tendencies and delusions of superiority as though some deity endows them with a mandate for power? This is a self fulfilling prophecy coming to life before our very eyes where sacrificial lambs embrace allegiance to something that no longer exists while they allow the application of their own demise.

For a bank to allow the confiscation of a person’s money, it must follow from the order of a court, after some sort of process (lawsuit, criminal proceeding, etc.).

Otherwise, it’s a case of theft done by the bank, which can be addressed both criminally and as a civil matter. And the state could have joint liability if the order of the court was unlawful.

But going back to RawStoryIdiot’s original point and his comment to yours, we can withdraw our consent and begin to take our power back. It does take courage to resist, and sometimes there could be consequences.

How many know the meaning of the word “dilemma”? Fewer and fewer I would guess as the active popular language quotient shrinks in proportion to the decline of the rest of our culture. What we have is a clearly delineated duality of interests vying for the attentions of an increasingly cowardly congress who have in reality already sank below any standards of responsibility to the national purpose. Seemingly following a mysterious agenda that we who support them are completely ignorant of, they enact legislation that a generation ago could have caused riots in the streets and in some cases could have gotten them scrutinized for the possibility of sedition. And it continues, nay, it accelerates, and that despite the very clear voices of the majority saying enough is enough, this is America it is not Europe and we do not want to become a euro-clone (underline DO NOT!) So then what’s going on here, the sophomoric philosophies of a handful of increasingly openly socialist “intellects” are taking precedent over the better judgments of the mass of the public. Isn’t this exactly what happened in Russia a few wars ago? Isn’t this exactly what happened in China a few famines ago? Can’t happen here though can it? No of course not, we’re much too smart for that! Ok phew, that’s a relief. Now that that’s settled, back to the dilemma. How can the “government” protect us from those mean old terrorists and at the same time do it without (God forbid) infringing on our “personal space”? Well that’s easy, just — Umm — well maybe — oh I know, kill all the — no wait — on the other hand — we could — no that would be (horrors) profiling — how about — no wait, that would be racist — got it, we could — no, that would be sexist — do-da, do da, and the band played on! We have to have it both ways or we’ll just sue hell out of — well whoever our attorney thinks will be the easiest mark, he can put an ad on tv ~HAVE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE BEEN GROPED BY~ —— well, you get the picture.

I’m no lawyer have no real knowledge of money or money matters but I know a couple of people the IRS has just taken their fucking shit. I remember a friend years ago, they even came and took his vehicles (not a dope charge either, tax shit). He had not paid taxes in years and they just finally caught up to him. If I am not mistaken he had no notice of it either, they just swoop and you have to try and get shit back. This is crazy though … after they wiped him out he went back and lived with his mom in rural Illinois and wound up hitting the lotto about 2 years later. That’s a true story. I was so fuggin’ happy cuzz he was a really cool guy.
My original point though was to just back the fuck out of the system, do everything cash and barter (I have not used a credit card since like 1978). I also successfully rasied 3 kids in the interim so it can be done. I am lucky though, as I have skills that can be used in such a way that I never have had to have a ‘regular paycheck’ type job.

See above, I tried to explain a little more fully, as space here would allow anyway, in a couple of posts above. But he walked into the bank to cash a check and his shit was just gonzo. People don’t understand of you are just some regular schmuck the IRS/gov/police guys can basically do whatever they want. No, they can. And unless you have some major dinero to fight back with….fuck you.

Not a lawyer either. But spent lots of time in a courtroom. Even the IRS has to go through process. Been on the lowProfile for a couple decades. They can’t just take your shit. They need court orders. Otherwise you have recourse. I’m at tpmco1@yahoo.com–we could take take this off-line if you want.

The thing is you’re fucked if they try to shank you like that. But it’s illegal. That falls into the category of willful and malicious, and lots of lawyers love that kind of talk.

Appreciate your concern but it’s not really my fight (well not now anyway…HA!). To be honest money confuses confounds and basically just bores the shit out of me (not the macro econ though, that shit is fascinating), anyway I know that’s not how you have to be in this day and age but I just do not give a fuck. I have a life to lead and enjoy and, well so fuck that shit. Hahaaa!

Goddamm does CNN BLOW or what? I have friends that watch that TV news shit and it astounds me how full of shit it is…all of it, even that fucking msnbc too, sorry. The folks I know who are the ‘TV news’ junkies, they think they are all really well informed and well, they don’t know shit and they refuse to even hear anything beyond the status quo parameters those fucking talking head readers set up. No that’s true. It’s like their socio-political unverse is defined and proscribed by the TV news…and that’s it.

Does Jeremy Bentham make water run uphill too?

Maybe he’s on the google–have to check him out. Was he a false flag terrorist?

I think Indi has a point. Good police work will sometimes produce usable information. To share that information is a useful concept. Data-mining is not good police work.

To ignore useful information, especially by people like GW Bush, is sheer incompetence. Why would that prick ignore the facts of buildings collapsing which had not been hit? Where is the evidence of the plane that hit the Pentagon? Train your nose a bit, waterrunsuphill, and seek the truth.

In the meantime don’t pussy in the face of intelligent discussion.

Sorry, Denny. You forgot to include the unborn–those who we have the task of educating in today’s world. Do you chastise them or encourage them? Sometimes a little of each?

Shit, I was just a kid when McCarthy was spewing–my mom was abhorrent and my dad was all all-agog. Well, dad won, and I was indoctrinated into the anti-communism narrative. Until Vietnam happened. We had a household war. Then I lost. Dad eventually converted, but the scar has been permanent.

I hope your electricity is pretty reliable, your computer chips reliable, and your bridges keep you above water. Lately, they don’t pay me for what I know. I did what I could.

And that’s not to be cynical, I still got more.

But Boston, the surveillance is not meant to prevent terror attacks (that’s the cover story), it is to track, trace, and extinguish the germ of any idea not approved of by the oligarchy.

“The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more
controlled society.  Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen.
These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities.”

Zbigniew Brzezinski in, “Between Two Ages: America’s Role In The Technetronic Era”.

Both loans paid back? – a little accounting trick, Brain, just to appease you and put you back to sleep.

Yes, they are small enough that we would only rarely even notice them.

Damn straight I complained when this stuff started, and before Bush too, but as soon as Obama was appointed all the lefties thought their troubles were over and abandoned those of us who knew better.

And the prison system can be used to undermine what is left of small farming and ranching, and those who use organic methods – look at this model work farm:
