Update (3:15 pm ET): Indiana deputy attorney general loses job

The Indiana Attorney General’s office announced Wednesday that the deputy attorney general who called for Wisconsin riot police to use deadly force on protesters is no longer employed by the agency, according to WISH.

Update (2:30 pm ET): Indiana official delete personal blog

An Indiana deputy attorney general who called for Wisconsin riot police to use “live ammunition” on protesters has deleted his personal blog.

Jeff Cox had claimed that Mother Jones would try to “silence” him.

Original report continues below…

One official in Indiana suggested over the weekend that riot police should use deadly force on those protesting Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s plan to strip unions of their rights.

A Saturday tweet from Mother Jones reported on the likelihood that police would soon be clearing the Wisconsin Capitol building of demonstrators.

“Use live ammunition,” a Twitter user named JCCentCom replied.

When confronted, the Twitter user stood by his words, insisting that the protesters were “political enemies” and “thugs.”

“[A]gainst thugs physically threatening legally-elected state legislators & governor? You’re damn right I advocate deadly force,” he wrote.

Mother Jones‘ Adam Weinstein later discovered that JCCentCom was a deputy attorney general at the Office of the Indiana Attorney General.

From the writings on his blog Pro Cynic, it seemed that this wasn’t the first time Cox had used over-the-top rhetoric against those he disagreed with.

“But he evinces contempt for political opponents — from labeling President Obama an ‘incompetent and treasonous‘ enemy of the nation to comparing ‘enviro-Nazis’ to Osama bin Laden, likening ex-Labor Secretary Robert Reich and Service Employees International Union members to Nazi ‘brownshirts’ on multiple occasions, and referring to an Indianapolis teen as ‘a black teenage thug who was (deservedly) beaten up’ by local police,” Weinstein noted.

In an e-mail, Mother Jones asked Cox to provide some context for his remarks.

“For ‘context?’ Or to silence me? All my comments on twitter & my blog are my own and no one else’s. And I can defend them all,” he replied.

Bryan Corbin, a spokesman for the Indiana attorney general’s office, told the magazine that Cox’s comments were “inflammatory” and would be reviewed.

“We do not condone any comments that would threaten or imply violence or intimidation toward anyone,” he added.

“Individuals have the First Amendment right to post their own personal views in online forums on their own time but as public servants, state employees also should strive to conduct themselves with professionalism and appropriate decorum in their interactions with the public.”

As of Wednesday morning, Cox had declined to provide further explanation for his tweets or writings on his blog.

The battle for union rights was expected to move next to Indiana, where Democratic state senators had fled the state to run out the clock on a bill that would have weakened collective bargaining.

this man has no business being an employee of the state of indiana.he is a political hire and needs to go.

The GOP thrives on violence. They actually want it to break out. It will make them have an orgasm.

  • http://thepoliticalbandit.com/ William Cormier

Using live ammo or other types of deadly force against those protesters could have the unintended consequence of spreading this protest throughout the nation on a huge scale. When I drive through that area, Indiana is definitely off of the itinerary! Talk about a rabid Attorney General…

These cretins are practically begging for the guillotine. Let us hope it doesn’t come to that. But as Kennedy said, those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable.

  • Anonymous

Isn’t that great? A person responsible for upholding law to call for “second amendment remedies” ala Sharron Angle for people excercising their FIRST AMENDMENT rights to peacefully assemble and petition the government for redress of their grievances….sad!

  • Anonymous

    The CHANGE BABY THE CHANGE!!

Just watch, this could happen, most people don’t realize the criminality in the US government and banker controlled governments of the west. They are literally want to crush the middle class, free trade, globalization, currency debasement..etc all created to crush you by pitting your against 3rd world labor. These are not conspiracy theory’s, little do you know the reason people are protesting are because of these “conspiracy theories” people ignored and attacked people for.

Want to fight back in your own life, the way the “libertarian left” of the right wingers fight and its far more affective..here is what you do.

    1. Stop borrowing money for anything other than necessity, pay off your debts if you can, DO NOT profit the banks by holding a balance.

    2. Only keep enough money in a bank account to fund what is needed, keep NONE if possible.

    3. Take all your spare money and put it in Gold and silver, the only way to fight monetarists is to fight against their money, their money has to become worthless and you MUST NOT ACCEPT THEIR REPLACEMENT!! These paper money with USURY schemes are their main source of power, kill this and you finish them, its their power over money that destroys everything, environment, politics, business, freedom…you name it. They cannot issue debt if you don’t participate.

    4. Shop at locally owned stores and buy domestic anything you can find, food, services..etc.

    5. Grow the biggest garden you can.

This is your only chance, protests are nice but they will not stop these people, they don’t care, they are bought off, they will crush you, you have to sneak attack them. You have to remove yourself from the system or your done.

When I was a protester against the Vietnam War back in 1969 in Madison, Wisconsin, the stupid governor at the time called out the National Guard with their Jeep-mounted .50 caliber machine guns against us. We laughed at them.

Can you even imagine what using live ammo against unarmed protesters would do to galvanize opposition to the corporatist political agenda. These people have no brains.

Edit: Shooting down unarmed teachers, firefighters, sanitation workers, etc. Just imagine…

These are college kids, junior high and high school kids, a few babies, lots of old ladies, teachers, cops and firemen. This guy wants a certain number of them killed and wounded. I know whose office needs to be visited next. This is a fucking outrage. Exercising the 1st amendment right to peaceably assemble (and the police department there officially congratulated the protesters for the total absence of violence and arrests) is supposed to get you slaughtered by government security forces? We’re supposed to stay away from the Nazi analogies for this guy too, I suppose? Even though it’s completely apt? Son of a fucking bitch.

UPDATE: Firing isn’t good enough for him, unless it’s in front of a “squad”. Oh, the irony!

I think you’re right. Hence the tendency of the state, corporations and fascists to use agent provocateurs and false flag operations.

Unfortunately there is so much rage and so much firepower floating around that I can’t see the (inevitable) revolution occurring without violence. Our goal should be to try to maintain the non-violent ethos, though I do think that people have the right to defend themselves.

  • Anonymous

It might help if you put the guy’s first name in the story before you refer to him simply by his last (“Cox”)….

This guy should not be in government. Elected or appointed. And how are the demonstrators threatening government officials? They have been peaceful and non threatening. This guy is the only one threatening. But he does make just a perfect republican and proof that anyone can make it through school. You don’t have to be smart, just have a good memory. You don’t even have to understand the material just show up for class. He is a loony tune with a law degree and I bet he carries a gun and considers himself a good christian! One would think the hiring process in Indiana would have been a little more involved and a little more revealing. Or maybe hiring this idiot was just payback for a favor!

Did that “twisted Tweety CROW” say LEGAL? Somebody needs to give that asshole some “clarity.” This country hasn’t experienced a legal, transparent, and honest election since Clinton won his second term and these lowest of Leech’s assaulted him with everything available in the Justice Department, including breaking off the key to the Executive’s Bathroom. Forty Six Million dollars later and what did they accomplish? A lie about his “private life” which wasn’t anyone’s business, including the Justice Department. And who made it abundantly clear that perjury wasn’t so “terrible”, yours, not mine, Texas Senator Kay Baily Hutchison, (R) sugar coating a NATION SECURITY OFFENSE, the offender?, the dynamic Chief of Staff, Scooter lying lips Libby, you know, the lap dog for Duck shoot’em up Cheney! By the way, I declared that Hutchison was NOT the Senator representing me? It’s because I don’t have one and I AM from Texas. Once proud, but not since Clemens and he was found like all good Rethuglicons, doing what they do BEST, illegally payrolling the football team at SMU, just down the street from another illegal alien “crank” pot, whose library is on the Shameless Methodical UnderAcheivers College campus, another payoff agreement no doubt.

If you’re ever at a protest and the Tac squad is there and they declare it an illegal assembly get the out of there because what comes next is violence. I have seen them even use agent provocateurs to instigate the excuse for violence. I have seen them chase down women that are running from them and beat them. There is no real free speech in this country if the government doesn’t like what you have to say. I learned that in the 60′s. My first disillusionment with America.

  • Anonymous

A Deputy Attorney General? WTF So the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights only guarantees his right to post whatever he wants on line but it does not give other Americans the right to peacefully assemble ???? The citizens of Indiana should watch their backs if this is typical of the type of person you have working in the Attorney Generals Office.

Well it would seem to me that these Fascists posing as Republicans, like this serious asshat, Jeff Cox, has a lot more in common with these dictators that are under fire in the Middle East than with our Founding Fathers. Personally, since they are mostly white asshats, I would say they have more in common with the Nazis. Oh, too soon? Maybe, but give it more time if they win.

Oh, and a refresher memory. It was just after Obama was democratically elected by the people (not mob rule)
that the pitch forks came out in protest from the the brainwashed far right over his election win. And when they stormed into the town hall meetings (after being bused in by the billionaire Koch brothers) to disrupt the health care debate they knew nothing about… that was mob rule. Just calling them hypocrites on the highest level seems to nice.

. . It is an evil Republican thing if you haven’t noticed. Republicans use several forms of violence against the people. Union busting being one form of violence. Many Republican policies are aimed at the poor and create death- Health care being a perfect example. Fascists care only for their class and the rest can die for all they care as evidenced by their policies. Economic injustice is violence of the highest order and Republicans thrive on it and creating hate and division. The current unnecessary wars are another example. Sending young people to die for their economic interest against countries they are no real threat to the US. It is a right left thing and the left is wrong. Torture being among their tools also violence. Democrats lately seem to want to emulate the Republicans so it is a right /right thing and the left has been left out.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_YHUR5LALBGRBDQ5VAKAL3JDKNU JustinB

Lets see them take force against children! Our constitution gives each and every one of us the right to protest and if it’s public property we are just as entitled to be there as anyone else.

So I say put a real human face on the peaceful protest. Don’t let the Government label you a thug and beat you down in the street just because you disagree. This is BS and its time the police play by the rules.

Bring your children, some of you may think I’m sick for suggesting this, the Government and the Police should not be using force against peaceful protesters. Is it too much for me to expect protection from our Police and Government? I should be able to bring my children with me especially when it effects them too.

Bring your kids and I bet you’d see restraint from the Police. I saw a lot of children at the Wisconsin protest. And believe you me if our Governent or Police did actually use force on a child and it were caught on film, America would be livid.

I’m not sure how Indiana is getting so involved in what is happening in Wisconsin, isn’t that kind of inter-state interference seen as anathema to the teapbaggers states rights ideology? Here’s Indiana governor Mitch Daniels on the Diane Rehm radio show yesterday:

Gov. Mitch Daniels: “Well, you know, this is—I think [Walker's] trying to fix a structural problem, which I’ve demonstrated or discussed to you already, Diane. The problem comes from the, you know, forced expropriation, whether they like it or not, of money from—that started with the taxpayer, from the salaries of government workers, circulated back into a political machine that is the most powerful out there. And if you’re worried about special interest power and special interest pressure in America, that’s—the government unions is where you ought to start.”

See this is why I attack people who use this damn Austrian School language. And any talk of “expropriation” of taxpayer money or Wall Street workers working under “slavery” becuase of regulations or of taxation as “coersion” is propagandistic and loaded as hell. And it is used by those who claim to be trying to have a conversation. It’s straight out of the Kremlin and Pravda circa 1950 at the height of Stalin’s purges!

I know, I know… I would hate to see children or teens get hurt but if this is just as important to their future as it is mine I say bring them down. Put a face on it. We need the public to hold our leaders to what they say. How are we any different than Iran by applauding Egypt and then using force on peaceful demonstrators? This is a tough one to put into words… Regardless if one child was hurt during a peaceful protest, you would see America in a united front marching for justice. Any administrator involved would immediately resign or be removed from office, any police involved would be tried (hopefully). I could also see Repubs coming out against it, if it did happen, and try to arrest the parents of those who brought their kids to the protest.

Either way, it would be effective. Nobody would stand for it, if it did happen.

America is now a plutocracy – People better wake up!
The term “plutocracy” is formally defined as government by the wealthy, and is also sometimes used to refer to a wealthy class that controls a government, often from behind the scenes. More generally, a plutocracy is any form of government in which the wealthy exercise the preponderance of political power, whether directly or indirectly.
Plutocracy may also have social and cultural aspects – example: abortion/freedom of choice and gay rights – they use those issues to control the moral majority.

I just love this! Unions don’t exist in a vacuum…
They exist because of assholes like Cox and other equivalent assholes in management positions that view workers as nothing more than someone to whip and push around…
As it turns out…shining the light on these assholes is actually the best kind of organizing tool for unions to expand their membership.

They do. They are the public also. But I guess they shouldn’t expect to participate in determining their own fair pay.

It’s interesting that the private unions appear to finally be catching on to the fact that Republicans aren’t going to call off the dogs once every single public service has been privatized. …Even after they’ve busted the teachers’ union, and the private unions, and they come for the cops and firefighters — and then you suddenly find yourself frantically trying to feed dollar bills into a meter mounted on the side of a fire truck so it’ll shoot water at your burning house — this war will continue.

When they shot down our brothers and sisters at Kent State in O-HIO our nation turned its eyes on those who did the killing, in 1968 when the streets of our cities went up in flames, The People were heard calling for justice, if Mr Cox were to have had his way this time around, then surely we would not have tolerated the killing of our grandchildrens teachers!
The likes of Mr Cox have not learned the lessons of history, we shall not let his ilk repeat those mistakes yet again.
    Remove Mr Cox.

“political enemies” and “thugs”, “Use live ammunition,” . For a minute there I thought I was reading about Gadahfi, or some other dictator…… Americans need to remember May 4, 1970, Kent State, and make damn sure the republican political class doesn’t pull a repeat. That sort of language, “political enemies” and “thugs”, “Use live ammunition,” , has NO business in the discourse.

I have received an email response from the Indiana Attorney Generals office which corroborates the above statement that Jeff Cox has been fired by that office. Complete text of the email below:

—Today the Indiana Attorney General’s Office announced that Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Cox is no longer employed by this agency.

The Indiana Attorney General’s Office conducted a thorough and expeditious review after “Mother Jones” magazine today published an article attributing private Twitter postings and private blog postings to Cox.

Civility and courtesy toward all members of the public are very important to the Indiana Attorney General’s Office. We respect individuals’ First Amendment right to express their personal views on private online forums, but as public servants we are held by the public to a higher standard, and we should strive for civility. —

Good that he’s been fired, but obviously, the leadership in Indiana leaves a lot to be desired. Calling for the use of deadly force against protesting American citizens goes far beyond a lack of civility. It’s disgusting, and this should not be glossed over.

McLean, Virginia — Unfortunately, most Republicans (especially those in positions of power) cover their tracks too well to be revealed as murderers and criminals. Thank God, this creep was disclosed for what he is. However, there are far too many still buried in positions of power who may never be revealed even after they have committed grievous crimes against human rights. John Yoo, Alberto Gonzales, Jay Bybee, and many others have taught Americans the basic facts about Republican morals. They will do anything, even violate the law if necessary, to fit their own ends.

We must always take for granted that if there is a way to lie, cheat, or steal from the poor and innocent then we need to protect our people.

Good luck finding a “True Christian”. They don’t exist. There are merely ghost-chasing fools believing in an out-dated idea for wanting to be better than their fellow man (“Christians”, much like yourself). Don’t try to blame the “Right-wing” or the “Left-wing”. Again, your out-dated ideas are the poison of the human community. Stop being so single minded as to thinking that you can generalize people in to groups when they all have different backgrounds. A bear in Alaska will act differently than a bear from Colorado, if put in the same cage.

Not only that, they have become very arrogant about the fact that they can do as they please.
Where in the h…. does it say in our laws that we should give free money from our U.S. federal treasury trillions of dollars secretly at their every demand.
I hope this has been the breaking point of the middle class , seniors and poor to take serious actions to change the course of this Global Monopoly takeover of our wealth , democracy , freedom and country.
This goes to show why aGlobal monopoly is very dangerous to our citizens and country.
There was a reason that we USED to have a limit on the power a person or corporation could have.
By eliminating the size of a corporation we have created monsters like Fox tabloid , BP , Koch Brothers , the health insurance companies and other organizations.

The republican plan is to eliminate all public jobs in states they control. Then sell off energy and infrastructure components to private companies. Tax payers will then effectively be paying private companies for services under force of law. Each state will be a republican kingdom and the citizens serfs. Unemployment will skyrocket. People will lose their homes and the states will take them over and make them available to cheap foreign labor for their corporate patrons. In 2012 if America enables conservatives again the president will be the emperor of all the state kingdoms. The road to neo-serfdom will be complete and wars of preemption and hegemony will rain down on the world.

The naivete and hubris of the gun crowd is startlingly uninformed. Your popguns will be useless against the array of sonic and microwave weapons they have developed with defense funds. And you underestimate their craven viscious natures. They will treat American neighborhoods like the Germans treated the ghettos.

I love nature, spend weeks out of the year on Lake Powell, in the Sierras, and frequently summit the peaks of Mt San Antonio (Mt Baldy), and San Jacinto (without use of the tram). I couldn’t agree more… Out of all my time in nature with the bears, rattlesnakes, and mountain lions I feel safer with them than a peaceful rioter on the streets of the US dealing with the darker side of human nature. If that is what you are refering to

However if you are speaking of the natural world I couldn’t disagree more. In nature it is the species that evolves and adapts that survives. It’s the ones that destroy that end up destroying themselves. A great example of this and possibly a glimpse into our future as humans is the history of Easter Island. Overpopulation and depletion of resources lead to murder, war, cannabolism and the collapse of their society.

Those weapons aren’t powered or controlled by magic or secret words. They are machines. If a small crowd of gun owners takes out a small group of police who are using one of those devices, the device can be turned back on other enforcers. Don’t think tanks will strictly be in the hands of the tyrants for long.

I’ve known military reservists with access to local armories (tanks, BIG guns, rocket launchers, etc) who would never condone the government firing on citizens, and would be most happy to turn the tools of the tyrants over to the public. .. the existence of the weapons means both sides can eventually be using them. It will, by no means, be a slam dunk for the oppressors. Never in history has it been. Once a revolution starts, it gets messy.. and often protracted.

They ran to block a vote. If there is a vote, the right-wing dictators looking to abuse the public will institute their 1800′s policies (proles are disposable and have no right to meaningful life).

They didn’t bury their heads, they are defending the public’s rights in a measured, meaningful way given the circumstances.

Are you one of the theocrat wannabees? The theocratic alignment with the military, corporations and the Neocons in pursuit of American empire is the driving force behind the trampling of constitutional and human rights. That’s religo fascism. To remain silent in the face of it is tacit agreement. Where stand you?

  • Taleisin

Seriously, we can’t stand Yanks like her and they don’t like the way we ignore them. Maybe the Russians will have her. ;)

I have heard the people in Libya have been killing the mercenaries. They have lost people but I am glad it wasn’t worse. It isn’t over yet, but I am surprised how fast it has all happened. The speed I attribute to the passion of the people. A lesson for all of us.

  • Johnny Warbucks

It’s not just you, mate. People of common sense the world over can’t stand her and her ilk.

Well, that’s not exactly the situation. Queen Qaddafi has created chaos in there. He’s paid off mercenaries from all over Africa $2,000 to open fire with machine guns, grenades, tanks, from helicopters even on the unarmed civilians. Some of the reports coming out of there are horrifying. Mercenaries swinging swords on the open crowds and firing heavy artillery on them. Ok, I’ll stop there, I’m sure you get the pic. So far, the estimated death toll is about 3,000 but the civilians are giving him one hell of a fight. Man, those Arabs have the biggest balls on the face of the Earth! They keep pushing forward and taking over towns. Immediately, everything returns to calm and peace. I’ve heard that they’re setting up committees to distribute first aids and food, etc. They’ve liberated half of the country and now the final showdown is for Tripoli. Qaddafi is one sick fuck! His entire government is resigning of defecting in hordes. I heard this morning that the embassy in India quit. Even one of his son joined the protesters. Here’s what concerns me, now that is almost over, the US is getting ready to go in an pull another Iraq. When it’s all said and done, there will be a couple million massacred on the streets, Halliburton will have another trillion dollar contract and EXXON will be the king of the oil fields. I hope for their sake that they can take that MF out soon!

  • Taleisin

As someone who has only lived in a democracy country, I notice you have a grudge against dictators. The King of Saudi Arabia has just generously taken $36 Billion from his wallet and given it to the people. You can’t get a nicer bloke than that.

I wonder what sort of country the Libyans will be able to build, and what sort of country the rest of the world will let them build. I do not know what sort of government can be formed in this era of humanity that will not lead to the oppression of many by a few corrupted by money and power. There will be plenty of people in Libya ready to fill Qaddafi’s shoes. Who would you trust? A business man, a military man, a holy man?
What sort of society can we form where property is not more valuable than human life, or the least powerful are not oppressed?

  • Johnny Warbucks

What gave my grudge away? I thought I was doing such a good job of hiding my distaste for the lot… :)

The nice King of Saudia Arabia knows that if he doesn’t do that, his head will become a soccer ball next.

Not sure if I mentioned this and I apologize in advance if I repeat myself but Libya is supposed to be a very tribal society. The tribal elders as well as the high-ranking officials that have defected are getting together working on an interim government. That right there can be a can of worms. However, if they truly have good intentions (I know, I know…big if) and what is best for their country at heart, they can stabilize things while working on a democratic government just like the Egyptians seem to be doing. The civilians are also organizing their own committees in the areas they’re liberating to provide basic needs for the civilians which I think it’s outstanding leadership. However, history shows that even the governments with the best foundations erode and end up in kleptocracies, the US being the perfect example of that. It’s the nature of man. We seem to travel that same path over and over again and can’t seem to break away from that vicious cycle. We’ve discussed this before and I’ve told you that if you look at history, all it does is repeat itself.

  • Taleisin

There is a story about Krishna. A young hero had overthrown a tyrant, and grown old, and became a tyrant himself. It is the nature of all institutions to fall into corruption, in fact, all things are finite. All things get old and die. It is in the blueprint of the universe. We hurt when we lose stuff, so we hang onto it because we are afraid of change. When we keep things too long they get like old fish. The universe requires constant renewal. Which means revolution.

Democracy was supposed to be a release valve so that revolution could occur regularly and avoid bloodshed.

The founders of America understood the need to renew the constitution each generation or so, to match the changing needs of the people. One of the big soapboxes I have, is reminding the USAians, that their constitution is past it’s ‘use by date’.

The Republicans have married it to the bible. The damn thing is almost scripture. This individual seeking happiness is a childish notion of 17th century wig-wearing, perfumed, lacy, french poofters. I read a little of a book today about some french dandy of that time who wanted to be remembered for his military and literate genius and his garden designs.

A man is a greater being than Americans can envisage. Moving out of puberty requires change. America is too old to be a teenager anymore.

  • Johnny Warbucks

That’s is beautiful, man! I’m wiping my tears on my sleeve over here…

Mind if I save that and quote you? I couldn’t have possibly said it better or more brilliantly than you have. Better than George Orwell on his description of the class struggle in “1984″

I don’t want our Country “ruled” by a government merged with any “religion”. Emperor Constantine tried this and it failed. People “became Christians” for political reasons. However, I believe the facts show that our nation was founded by men who embraced the Christian faith. No other nation in history has given people the true freedoms that we used to have. For this I thank Jesus Christ. As far as a theocracy goes this will only happen when the Lord Jesus returns and sets up His Kingdom. Only THEN will the world know true peace. Before this happens there will be a period of 7 years of tribulation such as the world has never known. It will be preceded by a very brief time of peace for Israel. Now is the time to truly believe 1Corinthians 15: 1-4.

The founders included some christians and several masons who are looked on by some as a cult. Many were deists who spoke often of natures god. You can believe they embraced it if you want but for many it appears to be more lip service and convenience than practice. Christianity claims the path to a one true god which is at odds with free choice and religious freedom. That has no place in our free and open temporal society. Insisting on a christian bias is divisive and creates civil discord and an implicit christian sharia.

  • Anonymous

I stand by what I said previously and am only replying to you out of respect. I urge you not to be so close-minded about Christianity. There is so much to say but these things would be better coming from someone one-on-one. I will pray God brings someone into your life to help you understand just how much God loves you and just how much you need Him. The good news is given in 1Corinthians 15: 1-4.

  • Anonymous

I stand by what I said previously and am only replying to you out of respect. I hope you will become more open-minded about Christianity. One is not truly free until they have been freed of their burden of sin, which Christ paid for at the Cross. This is true freedom: having peace with God. I really mean this when I say that I will pray God places someone in your life who will help you grasp just how much God loves you just the way you are and just how much you need Him. There is so much to say, but this forum is not the place, so I hope you will be open to someone one-on-one. One example I can think of is Lee Strobel, a fromer journalist who has written a book on how he came to believe the Bible after he investigated it’s claims. I can’t think of the book’s name right now. Take care, and God bless you.
PS – in reference to our founders — being a Christian is a walk of continuing growth, guided by God. I’d advise you not to judge our founder’s faith on a snippet of their life, even Lincoln didn’t become a Chrisitian until after the Battle of Gettysburg (according to certain letters he wrote…)

I think even unions have the capacity to understand that publicly advocating the murder of protesters is wrong and that someone acting in such a way probably doesn’t deserve the benefits of union protections, especially if their actions will be associated back to the union or the employer.

Where the employer is negatively effected by the employee’s actions or where the employee has a disposition that is entirely unsuitable to the position they hold – dismissal seems reasonable. In this case, an AG publicly advocating the use of live rounds on protesters seems to show they are unsuitable to hold such a position.
