DEVELOPING…

A bus transporting US soldiers to Frankfurt Airport was attacked Wednesday by a gunman who shot and killed at least two, according to published reports.

A US soldier and the bus driver were among the dead, they added, and another two were serious injured. The shooting took place near terminal 2, according to Sky News.

The attacker was believed to be a young man from Kosovo in his 20s, Britain’s The Guardian noted.

While the US military had not made a statement, a police spokesman told The Guardian that the attack “appears to have taken place on the bus.”

Frankfurt Airport is Germany’s largest international hub, and the second largest airport in Europe.
