Appearing on MSNBC with Cenk Uygur, Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center explained why he believes Rep. Peter King’s (R-NY) upcoming hearing on Muslim radicalization in America are more than a little misquided.

“He is a fellow who has described 85-90 percent of the Muslims in America, or the mosques in America as fundamentalist, tied to jihadis and so on,” Potok said. He compared the muted reaction to the King hearings with another hypothetical: what the reaction of Congress would be if Muslim Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) called hearings on evangelical radicalization to determine what in that community causes the rise of abortion clinic bombers.
