Estimated 2 billion to watch royal wedding
Reuters is reporting that a more than a quarter of the world’s population is expected to watch the upcoming wedding between England’s Prince William and Kate Middleton. The figure was provided by Britain’s Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
The wedding between William’s parents, Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer was viewed by some 750 million people, a figure that was dwarfed by the estimated two and a half billion who watched Diana’s funeral in 1997. The wedding takes place on April 29th.
