Obama friend Dick Titcomb arrested for soliciting sex in Hawaii
A close friend of President Barack Obama was arrested in a prostitution sting Monday in Hawaii.
Robert Richard Titcomb, 49, of Waialua was arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from an undercover officer, according to Hawaii News Now.
CNN confirmed the arrest with Honolulu Department of Public Safety Wednesday.
Obama has been close friends with with Titcomb since they met in Punahou High School.
It’s not unusual to see the two together playing golf, basketball and dining together when the Obamas vacation in Hawaii.
The first family recently spent time with the Titcombs when they vacationed there in December 2010 and January 2011. Pool reports indicate that the the Titcombs joined the Obamas on Christmas Day. The Obamas also spent most of December 30 at the Titcombs.
President Obama golfed with Bobby Titcomb on December 23, December 26, December 28 and January 2.
