Pittsburgh police, who claim they feared for their safety, used a Taser on an unruly fan at a Pittsburgh Pirates game over the weekend. After the Taser appeared to have no effect, one of the officers clubbed the fan at least twice.

“We both feared for our safety,” city detective Francis Rende said in a criminal complaint.
