When Glenn Beck’s Fox News show finally goes off the air later this year, the conservative host will also be leaving New York City.

Beck told told an audience in Albany Saturday that he had sold his Connecticut mansion and plans to leave the New York City area entirely, according to Wire Update.

The Blaze, a conservative new site launched by the radio host last year, is only the beginning of the content he will be offering to radio, television and the Internet, Beck reportedly said.

“I’m about to build a research department that will utilize the idle brains that we have, retired CIA, military, PhDs.”

“As we build a new media, I’m not building it in New York,” he added.

Earlier this month, Fox News announced it would be ending Beck’s popular show later this year.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Fox News CEO Roger Ailes was ambiguous about the reasons for the show’s termination.

“Half of the headlines say he’s been canceled,” Ailes noted. “The other half say he quit. We’re pretty happy with both of them.”
