A recalled Republican Wisconsin state senator who lives outside his district with a mistress is directing constituents to adult chat lines that welcome callers with the greeting, “Hey there, sexy guy…”

Sen. Randy Hopper lists his office number in a quarterly letter as 1-888-736-8729, which leads to a recording telling callers to dial 1-800-475-TALK, “the country’s favorite live talk.”

“Randy Hopper won’t listen to his constituents and stand up to Scott Walker so apparently he is sending his constituents someplace where the chat lines are still open,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Tuesday.

Hopper has worked closely with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker to implement the state’s new anti-labor laws and enact policies favorable to the interests of big business. He was one of the Republican senators named in a massive recall effort spearheaded by Wisconsin Democrats.

Democrats have already gathered enough signatures to convene a recall election for Hopper, but he is challenging the signatures.

His wife informed protesters in March that the senator was living in Madison with his 25-year-old mistress. It was later reported that Walker got Hopper’s mistress a high-paying state job.

Oshkosh Common Councilor Jessica King announced last week that she would run against Hopper in a special election. She ran against Hopper in 2008 and lost by fewer than 200 votes after a recount.

“In the last five weeks, over 23,000 people have demonstrated they believe Randy Hopper was elected, went to Madison and forgot who he was representing,” she said. “He stopped listening to his constituents and started listening to corporate special interests. I am not afraid of special interest money because I believe the people are ready for a real, authentic leader. And you can’t buy that.”
