Martial artist and actor Chuck Norris warned that Shariah, the religious law of Islam, is infiltrating American society in an article published by the fringe conservative news website WorldNetDaily.

The star of the TV series Walker, Texas Ranger cited five examples of how Shariah law had seeped into society and cautioned they might escalate into “more progressive forms” over the next decade.

Norris noted that in 2009, a Muslim man beheaded his wife, claiming the act was justified by Shariah. Additionally, he claimed the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Islamic advocacy group, was trying to “infiltrate congressional offices and plant Muslim interns there.”

“It is no mystery that radical Islamists intend to use the freedoms in our Constitution to expand the influence of Shariah law,” he said. “But, still, too many Americans don’t know or understand how it threatens the very fabrics of our republic.”

Norris has written a column for WorldNetDaily since 2006, along with other conservative commentators like Ann Coulter and Pat Buchanan.
