Hartmann: Is medical marijuana the next boom industry?

Could medical marijuana be America’s next boom industry? It does seem possible, thanks to the Obama administration’s policy of not prosecuting properly licensed caregivers.

But in order for it to shift into high-gear, it would need to be rescheduled by the Drug Enforcement Administration, opening the doors to big pharmaceutical companies to produce cannabis-based medicines. That too may be just around the corner.
