In his first night back on the air at MSNBC after a suspension for calling radio host Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut,” Ed Schultz was already raising eyebrows by reprimanding another public figure for his behavior.

Schultz called on Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) to resign over his lewd Twitter photo scandal, and “take one for the team.”

“There is only one person who can end this story: you,” Schultz said, explaining that Weiner’s behavior hurt his constituents and causes he fought for in Congress, and that these causes deserve his full focus.

“There has to be more restitution than just stepping up and saying, ‘I’m sorry’,” Schultz said.
