New York Gay Rights Disco Rock Mash-Up

While everything was going down in the state legislature of New York, Marc just so happened to be putting the finishing touches on the mash-up below, so he thought he'd release it in celebration.

Part of the impetus behind it was that Marc and I both thought that the lyrics and the vocals to "YMCA"—which is a song about gay men escaping to New York City to find a little freedom—were actually both moving and cheeky, but it's hard to really see that because they're backed by the most unforgiveably cheesy disco imaginable.  

Solution Marc came upon: back them up with uplifting, power chord heavy stadium rock that competes with anything Queen ever did.
