CNN host Fareed Zakaria is on something of a ranting spree on television over the weekend. Friday night, when Zakaria was a guest on AC360, he called the tea party’s tactics within debt ceiling negotiations “anti-democratic” and “counter-constitutional.”

Sunday, he again ripped into a debt-related tirade.

“We face downgrades and uncertainty and investor panic not because of our deficits, but because we are behaving like deadbeats, refusing to pay our bills, pouting, while the bill collector waits at the door,” he said of Congress.

He also got in another dig at the tea party, saying that because of the caucus, “the credibility of the United States is now surrounded by uncertainty.”
