MSNBC political analyst Pat Buchanan provoked a furor Tuesday on Twitter after referring to President Barack Obama as “your boy” while discussing the Bush tax cuts.

“Lemme tell ya, your boy, Barack Obama, caved in on it in 2010 and he’ll cave in on it again,” Buchanan told interim MSNBC host Al Sharpton.

“My what? My president Barack Obama? What did you say?” Sharpton said.

“He’s your boy in the ring!” Buchanan responded, nervously chuckling.

“He’s nobody’s boy,” Sharpton retorted. “He’s your president and he’s our president, and that is what you all are going to get through your head.”
