Ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak arrived on Wednesday at the Police Academy in Cairo where he is due to face trial on murder and corruption charges, an AFP reporter said.
Television footage showed an ambulance driving up to the courthouse, amid intense security and a heavy army presence.
State television said the former leader was expected inside the courtroom within minutes. It will be Mubarak’s first public appearance since he was ousted by a popular uprising in February.
