Three arrested at Republican Rep. Paul Ryan’s town hall event

Three people were arrested on Tuesday for disrupting a town hall event in Greenfield, Wisconsin held by Republican Rep. Paul Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman. Another 20 people were escorted out of the event for interrupting Ryan’s speech.

Two of the three people arrested were fined $429 and the third was fined $681, according to Politico. They were arrested after refusing to leave the venue.

Supports and opponents of the congressman also held dueling demonstrations outside the event at the Whitnall Park Rotary Club.
