Sen. Gillibrand calls for tougher sanctions on Syria
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand urged her colleagues on Wednesday to support tougher sanctions against Syria and hold President Bashar al-Assad’s regime accountable for its human rights abuses.
“Syrian President Assad has killed over 2000 of his own people, in an alarming torrent of violence from one of the worlds most oppressive regimes” she said.
