In her interview with new MSNBC host Chris Hayes, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) felt the now notorious “Let him die” moment at the recent GOP debate was “heartbreaking.”

“Even to me someone who is rarely surprised with what the other side will do, that demonstration was heartbreaking,” Pelosi said.

“It speaks to the sense of community that is lacking in certain quarters in our country. Suppose that was that was their son, their brother, their father or their young grandchild, or something. Would they want them to die? In all of the opposition we’ve had to some of these policies I didn’t think they had that in their hearts.”
